Okay, just a friendly reminder that the MLB/NFBC season officially starts TONIGHT!!! You must lock in any Marlins or Cardinals players you want to start in Week 1 by 6:55 pm ET. You will be allowed to make changes to the rest of your starting lineup until 11:30 pm ET tonight, but your entire starting lineup locks at that time for Week 1. Any Seattle or Oakland player that you have in your starting lineup at that time will have last week's games included in your statistics tomorrow. Those Japan Series results count towards your Week 1 totals. On Friday, you have the ability to switch your hitters' starting lineup again by replacing a starter with a reserve.
Just another reminder: There are no pitcher swaps on Friday's this year, even for DL'd pitchers. We have changed that rule this year and no NFBC contest allows pitcher changes this year. That includes September, where we no longer allow changes during the last 2 weeks of the season. No changes this year.
On Mondays during the regular season, you'll have the ability to lock in your starters 5 minutes before the scheduled start of their games. So if you have East Coast players starting at 7 pm ET, you need to lock them in by 6:55 pm ET. If the Cubs play at 2 pm ET on Monday, you need to lock them in by 1:55 pm ET. For West Coast teams that start at 10 ET, you now have until 9:55 pm ET to lock them in. This works this way on Mondays and Fridays, so plan accordingly. Just remember that for players who don't have Monday games you MUST get them locked in by Monday's latest deadline, which is 11:30 pm ET.
I hope this all makes sense. We have enhanced the software to give you more time to make your weekly lineup decisions. Please plan accordingly and good luck everyone.

Good stuff
Nothing more frustrating than locking in a west coast player only to hear late injury news.

This is huge! Good job getting this done

Winning is not everything, but the will to win is.

Setting my lineups, I realize that I have too many teams yet again. It's so much fun drafting and doing auctions in Vegas I can't help myself. Now I have lineup/waivers hangover.
But I can't wait to get home and watch some baseball!

I have'nt seen a game yet that starts exactly at the top of the hour. so does this mean that games that start at 7:10 you have to 7:05 and those that start at 9:35 you have to 9:30. the 6:55 has never made sense to me cause it is 15 minutes before most east coastm games start on monday i wish we could just lock it at the game time but this helps some maybe.

No, SCHEDULED starts are at the top of the hour. Plan on that all year and set your lineup in advance. Don't cut things too tight.Bama wrote:I have'nt seen a game yet that starts exactly at the top of the hour. so does this mean that games that start at 7:10 you have to 7:05 and those that start at 9:35 you have to 9:30. the 6:55 has never made sense to me cause it is 15 minutes before most east coastm games start on monday i wish we could just lock it at the game time but this helps some maybe.

Tv coverage might start at the top of the hour but game times start at 7:10 in most cases. so i guess your saying 5 minutes before tv coverage which is bit of a bummer cause alot of times i dont get home from work till about that time and only having a few minutes to catch up on news and then make changes if needed, i could use the extra 10 minutes in some cases.
