Lincecum
Re: Lincecum
I think Timmy and The Beard need a 2-for-1 Special from Dr. Andrews next week.

Re: Lincecum
I think he's cooked as an elite pitcher. His FB is below average at this point and gets destroyed when he has to throw it for strikes. He doesn't throw his slider anymore. He's basically a change up pitcher. Sorry.

Shoulder problems according to some scouts. I remarked to some friends 4 years ago, he would be toast sooner rather than later with his mechanics and sure looks like he might be breaking down now.... Age 27 and there is a reason the Giants are not and have not gone long term contract with him. Yet they did with Cain and Baumgartner....
Re: Lincecum
The Giants have wanted to do a long term contract with Lincecum for a couple of years now. Timmy has always said no and wanted to go year-to-year. Finally met midway (at least in Timmy's mind) and did a 2yr-$40M contract if memory serves me correctly. But they wanted to extend Lincecum first -about 2 or 3 years ago.

Re: Lincecum
Sad thing is, the Giants made a HUGE effort over the past 3 or 4 years to lock Lincecum up, but he wanted to BREAK THE BANK with a record pitcher contract.Outlaw wrote:Shoulder problems according to some scouts.
