Looking for a league

Post by TParsons » Sun Mar 05, 2006 12:42 pm

I'm looking for a higher stakes league, $250 and up. I wouldnt have minded making the main event, but all of the locations are just too far away from home and I don't have the time to do that travel on those dates. Plus I'm not big on the IP min. I prefer 5x5 keeper leagues, but am open to others. Please contact me via PM or leave a way of contacting you here.

Ty,

Go to Florida, sleep on the beach, and get yourself in the main event. It is the only high stakes game in town worth considering!!! Make it happen.

I would absolutely love to do that, but as of right now I'm working and going to grad school. I cannot afford to be away from home for days at a time at this point. the date misses my graduate school spring break by a week, or I would have taken off work to take a trip to Chicago and compete. It's much easier for me to find one day during the weekend to do a long draft/auction, or be able to sit an hr. or so a night and check out a slow auction/draft. Let me know if anyone else out there has anything. I know KJDuke had a posting about a league opening he is running, but I'm not sure if that's still open or not?

The minimum was implemented to prevent people from going with an all injured/Single-A pitching staff, then getting 1/3 of a perfect inning somewhere along the way, thereby securing 300 points in both ERA and ratio. It's an interesting strategy that a couple of owners unsuccessfully attempted last year.

The travel issue is another story altogether. Last I heard, KJ Duke's league still had an opening, so private message or e-mail him if you're interested. Good luck.

My thoughts on the Min. IP is because I think the min. is too low. I am aware that the actual draft is only one day, however this does not include travel time which in essense would probably be another 2 days! KJDukes league is currently full, I'm just keeping my fingers crossed that someone drops out. With the fantasy boom that has happened over the yrs. I'm very surprised that I am having such a hard time finding a higher stakes online league, but I am!!

The best of the best play in the NFBC, fly down Friday, Jet Blue, crash with Chest Rockwell, and leave after the draft. Easy. Done. You're in. Sign him up Greg.

I said a long time ago if it helps- someone can stay at my beach house- it will take you 2 hours to get to Tampa but it is free. Put a couple of people there and ride over together. Anything to help get Tampa filled.

Send me a private message if the money for a hotel is tight and that is what is holding you back. No one will know guaranteed...

You will have a great time, meet some great guys and have a shot at winning a lot of money.

I will even leave a copy of Fantasyland and an autographed picture of Mark Srebro on your pillow.
