Lind to minors - who's next

Post by Outlaw » Thu May 17, 2012 12:25 pm

Adam Lind to minors. Who is next? Duda, Ike Davis, Hosmer, Jemile Weeks, Dee Gordon, Rasmus, Beckham, Pedro Alvarez, Hundley, Goldschmidtt, Ryan Roberts, Morel, Loney, Soto, Raburn, Smoak, Ramirez....

It is amazing how many players with significant At Bats are below .200 in avg. and some way below. also how mnay are right around .200 -.225. Pitching seems to have gotten a lot better or is it no Roids now.

between the slow-starters/underperformers and the injuries, it's been a frustrating year so far to say the least

I'd send down Erick Aybar to High A ball if I was GM.

I agree and thought of adding him, but they just signed him to an extension, so i felt there is no way they do that. besides they fired the hitting coach so that should fix all their hitting problems....lol Me thinks that a lot of the Halos have grown tired of Scioscia....

Duda? Really? because hitting .275 with 4HR and 20 RBI's is terrible right? ... the mets probably also hate his .360 obp

Had me going there. I had to go back and check my teams stats. Duda is one of my "stars" with OK stats!
Baseball is a slow, boring, complex, cerebral game that doesn't lend itself to histrionics. You 'take in' a baseball game, something odd to say about a football or basketball game, with the clock running and the bodies flying.

Yeah, Duda has been clutch for the Mets, and does not belong anywhere near that list. Also, I am not sure which Ramirez you are talking about, I would assume Alexei, and I don't see them sending him down. He is off to a slow start but is a proven performer.

The following is my potential list of guys

Hitters
Eric Hosmer
Gaby Sanchez
Gordan Beckham
Ike Davis
Brent Morel
Ian Stewart
Jemile Weeks
Brent Morel
Justin Smoak

Pitchers
Mike Minor
Luke Hochevar
Mike Leake
Matt Moore :o

Brent Morel. So bad he should be sent down twice.

Adam Rubin of ESPN New York reports that while Mets manager Terry Collins wouldn't say Ike Davis is headed to the minors, he "was not as dismissive of the possibility, either."

He's going down if he does'nt get going or possibly to the DL for a real case of Valley Fever. Its a shame, because he is not the same player he was before this Vally Fever. We all know what happened to Conner Jackson.

1B posistion is hurting a lot of teams this year. Hosmer could be going down soon if he doesnt pick it up this week.

Just my opinion, but lots of "speculation" by others as well.

I don't doubt it. The Royals are an idiotic organization top to bottom, including the moron manager who puts Hosmer in a different lineup spot every other day.

Here's the fact: This year, Hosmer's BB rate is up, K rate is down, infield pop up rate is down by 2/3, HR/FB is roughly the same, and his LD/GB/FB splits are almost identical. He has an almost impossible .165 BABIP. He has basically been the most unlucky hitter ever. He has a .435 BABIP on Line Drives and a .075 BABIP on ground balls. That's almost impossible.

To put in perspective, there have been only 15 seasons since 2000 where a hitter with 400 PA had a BABIP under .240. There's certainly some self-selection issues there, but overreacting to bad luck on balls in play over 150 PA is idiotic. I fully expect the Royals to send him down.

Berkman likely done for the year... And with Lind and G Sanchez in the minors now, M Adams is gong to be one precious commodity next faab if he hits this week.
