Basketball?
Basketball?
I see on the top of the page that you have a basketball coming soon. Are you going to do basketball starting this season? Thanks.

Re: Basketball?
Yes, we ran a basketball contest from 2005-10, but didn't offer one last year because of the NBA Lockout. Now we are set to return this year and we are developing our own draft software and back-end software to run these leagues on our own site. In the past, we actually had used other software to run the leagues, but we are in the process of getting basketball ramped up using all of our own software.joshguy wrote:I see on the top of the page that you have a basketball coming soon. We used to call basketball the NFBBC, but we're going with NFBKC. We will also be offering a Main Event, an Online Championship, a Super League and some satellite leagues. It's going to take us a bit to get the draft software done so it's possible that we won't be able to run Slow Drafts this year, but the goal is to eventually rev up that contest model as well. The guaranteed prizes won't be lofty, but we are committed to basketball and will start small and eventually build this up in a big way. We really believe that there is a good market for high-stakes fantasy basketball and once we have a solid home site for the basketball contest, solid draft software and a back-end engine, that each year we'll be able to roll this out earlier and build momentum. In 2013-14, we'll be able to start the Slow Draft season much, much earlier and build basketball up.
We'll have more details soon, but everything is on track for a basketball site introducing our offerings for 2012-13 and then drafts throughout October if everything goes as planned. Plan on late October Main Event drafts online. And we might even consider a live draft venue if not for this year then definitely for 2013-14. Again, we want to build basketball like we did baseball and football and grow this sport in the same manner. If you build it, they will come.

More details to come soon.

Re: Basketball?
thanks for the reply. I always have thought basketball is underrated as a fantasy sport. To me, its 2nd to baseball, strategy wise.
Also, are the leagues h2h or roto?
