Chalk me up as one holding onto him for his legs and not his stupid elbow.

Not amazing at all.
Gardner could be the difference between finishing 12th in stolen bases and finishing fifth.
It's easy to be smart about injuries after the facts are known.
Do you have a team in the Main Event?

Owned in 100% of NFBC XII leagues. Your amazement wasn't shared by many. I was one sucked into waiting on a category I trail in. Went to drop him more than once, but held on. Amazing no, a bit unlucky and mis guided yes.

Possibly because he is fast and steals bases and they needed steals.

Quite obvious to me.
We are not as smart as you.

I have him in one league, Dan's premature edraftulation league. I've actually been holding onto him since last October!!

Outlaw,
Easy answer to your question: how many times did it seem like Gardner was close to returning only to have a setback? Rhetorical question. If he could've returned, obviously owners hoping for lots of speed, decent avg and lots of runs on a good team.

We waived him in our ME the first part of June. Was more of a gut feeling at the time, but once they've had that "second" setback, they don't tend to ever come back. We had Ike Davis from last year for a reference point.
