Dave Potts has been slowly moving up the overall standings in the NFBC Main Event and the NFBC XII during the last two months and over the weekend he caught and passed Chad Schroeder for the overall lead in both contests. With 10 days left of the regular season, Dave Potts now has the inside track to $150,000 in grand prizes and the $75,000 cash bonus. WOW. This should be an incredible fight to the finish.

Dave leads Chad by 11 points in the Main Event through Week 25. Here's the Top 100 teams in that contest with 10 days left:

Dave Potts took over first place in the NFBC XII on Saturday and now leads Chad Schroeder and Lindy Hinkelman by at least 32 points. Lindy moved into second place on Sunday and now is battling Dave for the overall title in our debut NFBC XII season. Good luck everyone.

Michael O'Brien continues to lead 864 teams in the race for the NFBC Online Championship's $60,000 grand prize, but Tim Grand has narrowed that lead to less than 400 points now. It will still be a good fight to the finish for this title. Good luck everyone.

The tag team of Jeff Dobies and Andy Saxton continues to lead the NFBC Auction Championship race, but it's definitely going to go right down to the wire. Donald Warner has been pursuing these two from the Las Vegas Auction League and now has the lead down to 29 points with 10 days to go. It should be fun to see how this one plays out.

Dave Potts continues to lead the race for both NFBC overall titles, but the margins are getting smaller. He leads Chad Schroeder in the NFBC Main Event by just 8.5 points. His lead over Jeff Butler in the NFBC XII is 28 points. Any number of teams can win our 12-team Main Event.

This is such a great race in both of these overall contests. I am so lucky, excited and honored to be hanging in both of them. Chad's team may be too tough to catch in the Main Event, he had a couple bad weeks and lost some ground, but he is back to his earlier form and pretty well taking to it to the rest of us. The XII look like it could have as many as 5 teams with a chance to win all the way to the final pitch. I don't know this Jeff Butler guy, but his team is great and he has a better shot than anyone right now.
Best of luck to all you guys, it is going to be quite a ride these last 6 days.

I agree his teams is the chalk in the 12. You are still easily the chalk in the main event though. Have you seen my lineup lately? Talk about talking a knife to a gunfight.

Potts' Main Event Team has methodically gone about his business. His offense is top notch, he just needs his pitching to secure him some points. You fellas have some long nights ahead of you.

It's been a lot of fun in the 12. I've mis-managed this thing bad but I'm still hanging by a thread. I'll need a hail Mary next week. I think if Chad, Dave, Lindy or Jeff were managing my team this year it would've been the winner. The way Jeff's pitching is lined up he's the clear cut favorite.

The NFBC XII has turned out to be more competitive and exciting than I ever expected. We always felt that the 12-team model could work in a Main Event format and we'll definitely return with a similar model in 2013. Maybe it was the name that held us back: NFBC 12 says it all!!

Either way, next year we hope to get more Main Event owners battling in this 12-team format and we sure hope to bring in new players who see this as a great step up into live events with a worthy grand prize.

We'll listen to any suggestions you folks have to grow this format. Next year we're reaching 300 teams and beyond.

DOWN THE STRETCH THEY COME!!

Wow, what a race we have in the NFBC this year. Dave Potts is now back on top in the NFBC Main Event as he passed Chad Schroeder over the weekend, but Jeff Butler has moved into first place in the NFBC XII this weekend over Dave and Chad Schroeder. Dave and Chad both still have a shot at the $75,000 cash bonus, but it's getting tougher with Jeff's team on a roll. Here's a look at the Top 10 in both Main Events:
