Okay, we still need a little help with our venues. If Easter didn't fall on Sunday, March 31st this year we would be set with our schedule of events, but it's causing some problems as we try to work through this holiday and still give everyone the fairest shot to win our national contests. And while we'd love everyone to come to Las Vegas on March 22-24 to participate in our 10th anniversary live event, we know that everyone can't make it out there. So we're trying to do what is best for everyone, while knowing that the regional live events will be a challenge this year.
Our initial post was that we are going to host live events in New York City on the weekend of March 28-30. We still have that in the plans and Tom continues to talk with Hotel Pennsylvania near Penn Station to get that done. However, I've heard a lot of feedback from East Coast folks recently that they are interested in more. We're not sure there is enough demand for 2 weekends on the East Coast, but we need to hear from you first.
With Passover on Tuesday, March 26th and Easter on Sunday, March 31st, is the best option to host live events on Thursday night, Friday (auctions and NFBC XII) and Saturday (Main Events)?
Or would March 22-24 be better for East Coast folks?
Or is there enough demand for a scaled back option in New York on First Weekend and a full slate on 2nd Weekend?
I don't see a problem with the schedule next year, but we need your feedback for this year. We want a major event in Las Vegas on First Weekend, but we also want to do what's best for the East Coast. Give us your thoughts and we'll do it right. Thanks all.

Kenny and I will be looking at Vegas the first weekend. If an Auction is offered on the second weekend, that would draw our interest in NYC. I do think if you split the offerings over two weekends you could split the interest, but you can gauge that as you go and make a determination provided you give people ample time to adjust travel plans. Still, I think one firm weekend offers you the best shot to lock down the most participation.
I know how you and Tom love NJ. However, a new wagering facility opened in Bayonne, NJ called Winners. Might be worth a call to them to see if they have the space to host a few drafts. It is close to the city with easy access from all local airports. McLoone's restaurant is within Winner's, so the small food setup you'll need is on site. Public Transportation into the location with plenty of parking. No NYC prices either to battle. Probably similar to the set up you had at Arlington Park. I wasn't a big fan of the Hotel Penn, plus Tom deserves a good spot considering you never let him come West!

Re: Looking For Feedback On NFBC New York
Greg,
I previously really wanted a first weekend in NYC, but actually things fell so that weekend 2 and its current schedule of events satisfies me. I'm not sure if other travelers are in the same boat as me but I would be unable to get off of work Thursday (with everyone in my office being given Friday off as a holiday) so would be unable to attend any drafts on that day. So with that said, the current tentative schedule is appealing to me because it allows for me to still participate in 2 auctions, a Main and a Super in a span of 2 days! I'm getting excited just thinking about it. Really, I could do either weekend so the only thing I am against would be splitting it up over 2 weekends and then not having enough events each weekend since the interest is split. If you split it up and I had to choose between an auction and a Main on weekend 1 or a Main and a Super on weekend 2 that would be disappointing but of course I understand you have to do something that is fair for everyone.
