Fifty rounds in six days with some of the best guys in the NFBC (well, maybe except for Gekko  )! This is the way you have fun while getting it done, boys and girls! 8-)

The passive aggressiveness on this board is hilarious. We get it, some people like slow drafts to move fast. Move on.

There is nothing "passive aggressive" about this post or any other on these boards. There are no such things as "slow drafts" anymore, only slow drafters who take more time than is fair and reasonable during the day without otherwise communicating their circumstances and status while being respectful of their fellow league mates...99% of whom would prefer to complete their drafts prior to Opening Day, and at a pace of more than one round per day. And for the record, you can call me "aggressive", however, there is nothing "passive" about me. Ever. ;)

Great job guys. A 50-round Draft Champions League in less than a week. Gotta like it!! Again, that's what makes this format so great. We can have 8 hours per pick for the masses and complete these leagues in three weeks. But for those owners who want to pick up the pace a bit or draft with people from their own region, we can do that, too. There's something for everyone here, so let's just keep offering them the way you like them and keep everyone happy.

The nit-picking comments aren't needed. Everyone is happy this way.

Mark, it was so good having you there. I don't know whether I had more of a good time agreeing with you or disagreeing with you.
Either way, it was all good and I think the 15 of us had just a wonderful experience.
The chat room hummed like no other I've seen and best efforts were made by all to be timely.
Excellent stuff.
On my tombstone-
Wait! I never had the perfect draft!

I rarely agree with this Gekko fellow ;) , but he is spot on here. He actually demonstrated a softer side, which we all knew he had. 8-)

The reason it was the best draft ever is because you had 15 participants that have the same idea about how these drafts should evolve. The NFBC is going out of their way to provide formats that do just that. So find the one for you and jump in.

Greg, is absolutely right on here, join in on the format that best suits you and your life style. No matter what your style, it will make you a better player.

Great draft - but I concede not everyone would desire to be in a league THIS fast. Still - if you want to try and squeeze in multiple DC teams - then sprinkling in a couple like the one we just completed is the way to go. For me it was perfect. I have a lot of stuff going on and wasn't sure how I was going to squeeze a DC into the schedule. Voila! Done!

If there is any downside - then it might be that with so many good drafters, you had to bring your A game, and focus, which can be challenging with such a furious pace at points. But - as a prep tool I LOVE being forced to think on my feet a little. It's what's going to happen in a couple weeks, right?

The key to making it work (aside from dedicated owners) is having someone like Dan to set the tone, Mike to help act as an operator/facilitator and then everyone else to play their various roles as dedicated drafters.

The only downside was that we really didn't want it to end. In fact a few of us were talking about going 55 or 60

Thanks Greg and Tom for always be open to letting us think outside of the box a little. This was great!

If there is interest in doing another "8 hours sleep at night/pick as soon as you can during day league", I'm interested in signing up. Thanks.

The last league of this nature finished in 6 days. We don't have to go that fast with this next league, but if anyone is up for another Draft Champions League where picks are made throughout the day, then this one is for you. Here are the details and the Signup List:

It is a $150, 50 Round Draft, 8 Hour Clock (for sleep only)
We are looking for a well paced draft with Message Board contributions.

3. Sam Botnick
4. Jason Perkins
