Not sure how many of you subscribe to Sirius XM, but the fantasy channel is an absolute must.
One of the things I have noticed recently on the sports updates, whenever a baseball player is mentioned, his NFBC ADP ranking is added as a parenthetical. As in:
"Wilin Rosario, with an NFBC ADP of 78, announced that he will not participate in the World Baseball Classic."
Nice job Greg/Tom!

Yup, just heard this myself today...and they do it on every player referenced in a baseball news story. The first player they reference they actually say, "The National Fantasy Baseball Championship Average Draft Position for _________ is..." so the listeners will know what NFBC stands for in subsequent ADP references.Surrender Dorothy wrote:Not sure how many of you subscribe to Sirius XM, but the fantasy channel is an absolute must.

Re: NFBC References on Siruis XM Fantasy Channel
I heard this as well and have a very selfish reason I was psyched -- if you listen to the FTSA draft to be broadcast next Monday night from Vegas, you may catch a commercial spot for a small fantasy baseball web site that mentions a couple of NFBC former champions as subscribers.
We were debating whether we could use just the initials or if we had to use the whole name -- sounds trivial, but using the initials would allow us to get in an extra line of copy.
We opted to use the initials so when I heard the ADP being mentioned, that means a better chance people listening to the spot will know what it is.
Greg and I will both be in the draft -- should be fun.

Re: NFBC References on Siruis XM Fantasy Channel
Thanks for noticing Todd. Yes, we are going to be doing a WHOLE lot more with SiriusXM soon and this is the first start. We have provided our ADPs to all of the hosts and will update them as often as needed to make sure they have the industry's premier ADPs. This is great for us, but it's also great for them. They now can really reference what is going on in pay drafts and inform their listeners about the fantasy values of every available player. It's exactly what their network was set up to do. And let's all admit, the SiriusXM Fantasy Channel is a VERY important promotional vehicle for our industry and working with these folks is a pleasure and a plus.
Next Tuesday from 1 to 2 pm PT, Tom and I will be hosting an hour talk show on SiriusXM 210/87 live from the FSTA Conference in Las Vegas. It will be all about NFBC, our ADPs and our current draft results. We'll obviously look at the industry draft that both of us will be in on Monday night and compare some of those picks with the ADPs of the NFBC. Tom and I will both be in Las Vegas to do a live show and you never know what may happen after that.
Maybe we'll be sooooooooo good that we'll continue this.
Anyway, we look forward to being on SiriusXM next week as hosts rather than just guests and we think we can add a lot of valuable content during that hour to the Fantasy Channel. Tune in everyone and you may just hear some NFBC champions on the show soon.
And congrats on the ads Todd. That's a smart, smart move. We know where this audience is headed on a daily basis and all of us need to be there. We feel the same way as you and we believe this audience wants better content, more timely content, and ADPs that will help them on Draft Day.
Mike, yes we're talking with SiriusXM about doing some broadcasts live from Las Vegas on the First Weekend. Stay tuned for more details. It should be good for everyone.
