Okay, sorry I was out last night. We have 15 owners, but I have some work to do now to get this set up quickly. I'll let you know about KDS shortly. Here is the final 15. If anyone can't make it, please let me know ASAP.

AND PLEASE DON'T SIGN UP ONLINE FOR THESE!! Those who did that already have made things tougher now. I need to delete those before you automatically go in the next DC. I'll sign everyone up, so please don't do anything yet. Thanks.

Here we go:

NFBC Draft Champions Express

I will get everyone signed up in the next hour or less. Look for your email confirmation and then please set your KDS preferences on your team page ASAP. I'll pick the draft order after lunch and get this league all set up. Thanks all.

Hi Greg,

I asked to be signed up for this early this morning but I am not on the list. Perhaps other people signed up by other means so the league was already. I just want to confirm my ID wasn't mistaken for someone else. Thanks.

Tom, you are in and Darryl HOuston Smith has cancelled. I signed you up. Please set your KDS preferences and we'll be good to go. Thanks all.

I'll send out an email to all 15 owners, but your teams are set up. KDS deadline is 2 pm ET. Hopefully we can have draft spots by 3 pm ET or so. Sound good? It's set up for 70 seconds per pick, but we can do better than that. Thanks all.

This will be interesting with me and Mark stealing each others' picks (in 5 seconds or less, right Mark?)

Well, how did our first Draft Champions Express League go last night? Please provide some feedback as I was out with the family last night. Let's hear from the participants if the format worked and if you had any fun. Thanks all.

Worthwhile fun. Wrapped up in about 4.5 hours or so. Pleased with how it turned out although I had one mis-highlighted Ryan Howard pick go into my roster (was supposed to be Sal Perez) when I was trying to add him to my queue. Pure operator error at my end pressing the draft button. Learned to not build queue when getting close to my pick.

Gekko was trying to get panic induced runs going but nobody really had time to talk smack as pace was for the most part intense. Gekko did not cover his 5 seconds/pick ratio he promised....I feel let down.

4.5 hours. On the long side probably because some owners weren't prepared as much as they should have been. I did notice that some mid tier players seemed to slip waaaaay to far. Probably a product of folks not being able to keep up

As for me, Most picks we're done in 1 sec.

I would do another if we could get the clock down to 30 or 45 seconds

I thought everything went pretty well. The only problem I noticed was every time I was doing a sort by category it would reset every time a pick was made. I don't ever remember this happening in draft rooms in the past years but maybe it was just me.

agreed except for those under the illusion that they picked in 5 seconds or less lol I found the draft passed quickly at a rate of 5 and a half minutes per round and most sticking it out to the end including one great effort by one drafter to draft and take care of his son who was sick at the same time

My picks were almost all within a few seconds. But the ones that weren't took close to a minute. I either knew exactly who I wanted or I had no idea who I should take. Would like to do another. A few guys REALLY pushed the pace. Intense draft.

at one point this offseason, i was drafting in nine draft champion leagues at the same time. that shit got old with the mrs. hence, i will look to only do the "fast" leagues for the remainder of the offseason.

I would much rather carve out the 4.5 hours in one night than the countless hours needed to complete a slow draft ... err, draft championship league. Let's set one up for another Friday night in a couple weeks. Actually any time works for me, really.

I missed out on this one and hope there is still enough interest in another one for a Friday night in February. I prefer this format over the 4 or 8 hr DC's and am counting on 14 more psychos to gather together for another one.

Anyone interested let it be known here and maybe we'll get started this coming Friday or next.
Always be closing.

I would be good for Friday Feb 8th @ 8:00 EST. That time seemed to work well for most that evening.

Sure, let's start up a signup list for this date. I'm out with family now, but someone set up a new thread for this and I'm sure we'll sell it out. Thanks all.
