I'm happy to report that yesterday Terry Haney finalized his travel plans and signed up for the Main Event in Las Vegas on Saturday, March 23rd. Terry has been with us since the very beginning and in fact in 2004 he won a Main Event league title and the NL Auction League title. He finished 4th overall that year among the 195 participants and in 2007 he went on to win the overall title and $100,000.
We are going to have one helluva celebration in Las Vegas for our 10th anniversary party and we are definitely going to honor our past champions. Among our $100,000 champions who will be in Las Vegas for the Main Event on Saturday, March 23rd are:
Artie Rastelli - 2004 $100,000 champion
David DiDonato - 2006 $100,000 champion
Terry Haney - 2007 $100,000 champion
Lindy Hinkelman - 2009 & 2011 $100,000 champion
Stephen Jupinka - 2010 $100,000 champion
Dave Potts - 2012 $100,000 champion
Now that's pretty impressive. Brian Oldenski won the 2005 NFBC championship, but hasn't returned to the Main Event since then. Bobby Jurney won the 2008 Main Event and continues to play in the NFBC, but he's unsure if his work schedule will allow him to return to Las Vegas this year. We're still talking with him and hopefully Bobby and his co-manager Joe Rawlings can work it out. We'd love to have him with our other Ring of Champions!!
Wow, what a group we're assembling for the Main Event in 2013!! CAN'T WAIT!!
