Saturday Live Chat: Anyone Want To Talk?

Post by Greg Ambrosius » Sat Mar 13, 2004 11:04 am

We stuffed them all earlier this week and sent them out. In fact, we came up short and will have to scramble this week to get everyone one. I'm not even sure what's all in there, but I know we have 4-5 fantasy baseball magazines, Ron Shandler's Baseball Forecaster, a T-shirt, pens, some baseball cards, 100 Sporting News Registers to the first signups, and another company is shipping a bag of items directly to each convention center. Oh, and we also have a portfolio with a Team Draft Sheet, a League Draft Sheet and the position eligibility sheet for everyone. There's more, I know, but I couldn't keep up with it all and I apologize for not doing a better job of listing everything.

Okay, gotta get some work done. Good luck everyone and we have room for a handful of signups yet. Keep 'em coming.

I think Castro is facing a trial kinda like Kobe Bryant is. You might want to weigh that also. At the least, he'll probably miss some games for court. At worst, you don't want to draft a catcher who'll be in jail.

Gekko, the Baseball Forecaster is a decent read in December when it comes out--I believe it's the first publication to hit the market each year.

I purchased Shandler's books in 2001, 2002 and 2003, but budget cuts this year forced me to make some preparatory sacrifices. Good news, indeed, that a copy has been included in our welcome packets.

So Gekko, will it be NY or Vegas? The NFBC, and the world, awaits your decision.

KOQ:

If I'm in NY, I'll look you up.
