It's interesting to see people choosing the safety of Cano over the upside of McCutchen/Kemp, if they pass on Braun, me personally, i'll take the 5 category stud over Cano, there's no way he returns top 5 value, even Cargo and the 30/30 chance seems like a reasonable choice , that 4th spot is a killer, my 2 cents.....

Cano is a positional pick, as much as anything else. A 300+ batting average and 30/100/100 from a 2B is very rare, even without the SB, which can easily be added in the late rounds.. Plus, without the stud SS in the first round, he is the only legit middle infielder in the top 10. I hear what you are saying with Kemp and Cargo. Problem is Cargo has been injury prone and Kemp is coming off an injury last year. If I see another few seasons like 2011 out of Kemp, I would move him up, otherwise he is #5 or #6 for me. I picked Kemp #6 in tonights DC (Cano went 4, McCutchen 5) I have seen McCutchen go at #4. I don't believe Cargo has gone above 7...

Harper continues to climb up the rankings and is currently going about 10th among OF, I currently have him 12th, but maybe i'm undervaluing him. Also he his definitely trending up, so that begs the question will he break the top 8 or 9 amongst OF's come main event time?

FYI - If Austin Jackson runs more (as it is NOW being reported), he has the best chance to put up first round numbers out of any player not going in the first 5 rounds. remember the name Austin Jackson on draft day

Why will I not be surprised to read these words..... "Getting 2010 Cy Young Award winners King Felix in the fourth round and Roy Halladay in the sixth was the key to my pitching staff" .......sometime this October.

Per Rotoworld...Roy Halladay cited a previously unknown lower back injury as the source for eventual shoulder issues. Totally changed his training program this offseason.

This guy will go from 7th rounder to 3rd rounder in a heartbeat. All u owners getting him in the 5th or later are getting STEALS. 8-)

Note to self: Gekko sees further regression from Halladay this season.

:D
He has drafted in every league, probably against everybody reading this.
And they're all shaking their heads and rolling eyes, knowing he didn't take Jackson or Halladay even after they were 'falling'.
Pretty tough to carry off when signing up for so many leagues
On my tombstone-
Wait! I never had the perfect draft!

With 60 drafts under your belt already, it's actually a wise investment to make one of 'em a decoy. ;)

The two players with a real wide range in the 1st three rounds seems to be Adrian Gonzalez and Felix Hernandez they both seem to have a 10-14 pick variance from as high as 24 to as low as 38

After the news of his sore elbow, Felix Hernandez dropped in NFBC drafts. His ADP has been around 35 for much of this drafting season, but after that news came out he went 38th, 39th, 40th and 50th in the most recent draft. He also went 43rd in Tuesday night's LABR Mixed League 15-team draft. The concern about the number of Innings Pitched the last 4-5 years is creeping in with King Felix.

ive noticed a real uptick in catchers being taken. for a while you would maybe see a v-mart in that 5th or 6th round. now we are seeing more catchers pop up into rounds 5 and 6. molina, salvador perez, and rosario are some names im noticing. could be pricey for a position that takes such a beating.

actually that seems to be a lie. some of these guys have been there for a while. i guess i was just ignoring them til now

'Hyun-Jin Ryu struggled to make it through a conditioning workout Thursday in Dodgers camp, according to beat writer Dylan Hernandez of the Los Angeles Times.'

Have you ever known this story to end well for a player? Nope. AVOID at all costs

this maybe a silly question.. but will mike trout fall in the draft with reports that he is weighing in at 240 pounds? there are reports out there that he has 6 burger lunches/dinners. he is a young guy so i think we can hope he drops some weight during the spring, but the larger question is: did this guy work out at all during the offseason? or did he just enjoy being on the cover of magazines and being told repeatedly that he is the greatest thing since sliced bread?
