Get $100 Off NFBC Main Event Through Fanduel.com

Post by Greg Ambrosius » Thu Feb 14, 2013 9:35 am

We are proud to announce today a sponsorship deal with Fanduel.com that will put money IN YOUR POCKETS!! This is a great deal FOR YOU and for the NFBC.

As many of you know, Fanduel.com is the top daily fantasy sports game in the industry. They boast prize money awarded of $50 million last year between all of their sports, which is impressive in a marketplace where there are more than a dozen competitors. We teamed up with Fanduel last year for a sponsorship that included their participation at our live events in Las Vegas as well as a few weekly contests involving mainly NFBC owners. You guys had your fun in the "Beat Greg Ambrosius" Friday night contests last year and many of you earned your money back from beating me!! We might do some of that this year as well.

But this year's sponsorship is bigger than last year's. This year's sponsorship is two-fold:

1. First off, THIS SPONSORSHIP SAVES YOU MONEY: We are going to provide a URL in the next day or two that will allow you to sign up on Fanduel.com to play their daily games. If you make a $50 deposit on Fanduel you will get $65 on Fanduel (a $15 bonus on top of your $50 purchase) PLUS $100 OFF AN NFBC PURCHASE!! That's right, you get $65 in credit on Fanduel.com and $100 off an NFBC contest for a $50 purchase on Fanduel!! NOW THAT'S GETTING SOME BANG FOR YOUR BUCK!!

We haven't started charging for any live events yet, so if you sign up in the next week we'll automatically take the $100 off any Classic, NFBC XII or Auction Championship team. If you aren't doing any live events, let me know and we'll still try to make it work with an Online Championship purchase or higher. Contact me at [email protected] for more information, but we're excited about saving you $100 on these NFBC live events. Take advantage of this offer NOW!!

Here's the link for this promotion. You MUST use this link to get the $100 discount:

2. Secondly, Fanduel will be involved with our NCAA Viewing Party in Las Vegas on Thursday, March 21st. They will have an area there with monitors to help new owners get set up on their site and they'll be live in Las Vegas that entire First Weekend. They'll likely be buying some Corona's for all of us as well!! 8-) I think they will also be live in New York on the Second Weekend, just like they were last year and with any luck they'll bring some of those nice blue T-shirts!! I still have a few that I wear occasionally. ;) And during the season we'll have some special weekly contests that are affordable and give you a chance to easily beat me. I think we ran those at $25 per week, so take advantage of this $50 offer and save yourself $100 right away on your NFBC purchase.

We'll have more details about this sponsorship soon, but I wanted to get this out quickly. Even if we do charge you for an NFBC live event and you purchase the $50 Fanduel card after that, we'll find a way to reimburse your $100 or use it for a future purchase. No worries there. We wanted to get this announced well before we started running charges, but better late than never, we always say!!

WELCOME ABOARD FANDUEL!!

ENJOY NFBC OWNERS!! This is a savings for you and introduces you to the top daily fantasy game in the industry. Gotta love it.

Okay, here is the link for the $100 discount for your 2013 NFBC Events through Fanduel. You MUST use this link to get the $100 discount:

http://partners.fanduel.com/processing/ ... _2146b_451

This is good for 1 NFBC event per customer. Enjoy and good luck everyone. If you sign up for this before we start billing next week, we can easily just take it off your initial bill. Thanks all.

Greg-

The Fanduel link says you have to be a new user on Fanduel. So, can you only get the discount if you're not already a Fanduel member? That would really limit this discount...

So I signed up an account and the deposit went into the account, but there was an error message at the end rather than a link that tells me how to sign up for the NFBC league.

Greg,

Why not just clear this up for everyone. Many of us signed up last year to compete against you and created a fandual account. It appears if we did so we're not eligible for the offer. It should be spelled out for everybody, plain and simple. If you had played football with fanball you're not eligible. Fandual is missing out if they think that those that created an account are hooked on the format. They are better served getting all of us back regardless.

I might be over stepping here. Either everyone gets the offer or no one gets it. This needs to be figured out so guys like me don't go crazy over the principal.

Thanks.
Joe

Joe, I think we can help everyone out. But email me at [email protected] and I can discuss. It's a promotion for new members, but obviously we have players who either haven't played there for a bit or are current members. Fanduel wants to work with all of them and we want to save you $100 in the NFBC, so it's all good.

This is great, Greg. Just signed up.
Baseball is a slow, boring, complex, cerebral game that doesn't lend itself to histrionics. You 'take in' a baseball game, something odd to say about a football or basketball game, with the clock running and the bodies flying.
