UPDATE: For Kent and a few of you who have inquired to confirm, Greg just posted this under the KDS thread when I mentioned it there:

Since you did it that way last year and everyone was cool with it, I'm cool with it. You and Tom can definitely coordinate that as he will need to set up the draft order just before the draft starts. Good luck.

Meaning "Iron Balls KDS" is a go again this year as per the tradition that started with the inaugural MTM. So be prepared, because In the words of the immortal Forrest Gump:

Oh, Mikey - if only that were the case for 2013. Unfortunately for you and the rest of the league, I have spent the winter under the tuteluge of friend and new neighbor, Steve Jupinka who taught me the draft secrets his father had taught him.

"Impossible!" you say..."No way," you declare. "Why would Jupinka train the competition?" you ask.

It's funny, because I thought the same thing and after a couple weeks of deep training, I asked him that same question. "Ahhh, young Michael-son, you still don't get it, do you? I'm growing tired of playing in all these leagues which offer no challenge. There is no one who measures up to my skill." He paused and stared at me and then asked "There is only one person out there, who could beat me...and do you know who that is?"

I paused and thought for a moment and then offered up a name..."Childs?"

"FOCUS!" He screamed at me.

"Hinkleman?...DiDonato?" I hesitantly offered up.

A short, stern "No!" was his reply.

I could tell he was annoyed as he stepped towards me.

"Drafting here" he said, pointing at his head..."drafting here" he said, pointing at his chest..."drafting never here" as he pointed at is stomach.

I paused for a moment and thought about it and then it hit me..."You? The only person who can beat you...is you."

"Exactly!" Steve said. "And since Greg won't let me enter this league twice, I have chosen to train you."
"But why me?" I asked.
"I needed someone with a clean slate...no knowledge."

I decided to let that last comment slide, but did ask, "what about that guy a couple years ago, who edged you out for the $100k grand prize, making you the runner up? Didn't he beat you?"

(At this point, training was put on hold while I waxed his cars, painted his house and fence and sanded his deck).

But I did return in time to learn the one drafting secret that has made him so successful. It is a very complicated move, but if executed properly, there is no defense...

Yeah Glenn, I'm sure you're all broken up about it. It took you all of about five seconds to drop the rest of us like a hot rock. But at least you only have to deal with me in one league this year so far, but look on the bright side...forget it. There is no bright side to that.
