Okay, I'm going to sign up everyone on this list today and we'll run charges for the party in the next few weeks. We need to order the right amount of food and Corona's for this event, so please sign up in advance. This should be a lot of fun and a great place to get to know some of your fellow NFBC competitors.

I'm still working with them on the setup, but it should be similar to last year. Geoff from Fanduel will also be there and we might have some freebies for those in attendance. He will also be there with a monitor and can walk you through any questions you have with their site. We'll have the room open from 4 to 10 pm and we have access to the walkout patio and more. Many of us will be at the sportsbook beforehand, so look for us there.

Again, this will be in Monet 1 of the Bellagio ballrooms. The Monets are the first ones on the left next to the Business Center. See ya there.

Here's who we have coming to the party officially:

Sorry, I don't want any credit card on file charged for this event. If I can't pay at the door, count both myself and Kenny out.

Sure, if anyone wants to commit that way, that's fine.

Well, I'll tell you one thing, unless we start signing up a better class of people for this thing, I may have to bow out at this rate.

Glenn, You won't have to worry about the poker game. There is something in the works already, by special invitation only. But you'll need a Golden Ticket to get in. ;)

Thanks guys. I need to have a list of attendees by March 14th if possible so that I can place my food and beverage order in. If you want to pay in Las Vegas, that's fine, but I just need to have a rough idea how many people are attending. Shoot me an email at [email protected]. Last year we had a lot of people who said they were coming and then they didn't, which cost us a lot of $. Please reach out to me if you think you'll make it and we can settle up before LV or in LV. Thanks all.

Here's the current list of attendees and we will be in Monet 1. All of the Penthouse Executive Suites have been reserved for Thursday years in advance. ;) I should have known.

Okay, I need to make a call on this party in the next week to ensure everything we need for some fun in Las Vegas. If you have any interest in coming to this party, please email me at [email protected]. In the next week we'll finalize the party list and move forward here.

I don't need to charge everyone for this party right away, but last year we had a lot of commitments beforehand and we didn't get as many folks to show up as expected. It's a huge cost for this room and the projector screen, so I need to have a good idea of folks coming soon or we'll go with Plan B. If we have more than 30-40 folks, it makes sense to host this in Monet 1. If we have 30 or fewer guests, we can host this in a suite upstairs. All of the Executive Suites that we had for the NFFC Viewing Party are sold out on this busy date (and have been all year as there are only 3 like that), but we can get something pretty close to that.

But I'm all for hosting this in Monet 1 and being near the sportsbook. Fanduel will be present as well and hopefully have some goodies for us and buffet and drinks are already on order. But again, I need some firm commitments on the party list soon so that I can figure out how best to host this. Upstairs might also work best for a poker game, but let's see the final numbers and we'll get this done.

Just email me if you plan on coming. That way I can get a sense on if we'll have 25 or 50 guests. If you're on the list already, no need to email me. Thanks all. I can't wait until this kickoff event so that we can get drafting soon.

Thanks Matt. No, not yet. Let me get a running total here and then figure out our plan. We're getting a few more takers now, so we're doing well. 30+ will get the job done. Thanks.

Okay, now we're starting to move things forward here. Shawn Childs and Rick Thomas have both been added to the party list for Thursday night. If you want to talk fantasy baseball and player values, you have two of the best right here. This is going to be fun and filled with good camaraderie before we sit down and beat each other's brains out at the draft tables!! Who else is good to go?

Here's the current party list and remember I need to finalize this in the next week or so with the Bellagio. Contact me at [email protected] if you're interested in attending:

Yeah, let's see where we host this party first. Hosting your own poker game in the Convention Center with chips doesn't go over well with the hotel, so I'd need to get clearance there first. I've done it before at other hotels, but they don't like it. That being said, if we do it upstairs in a suite then we have no problem hosting the game. Maybe we can still do both with the party downstairs and an upstairs poker game. Let's see what we can do for facilities. That's why I need to know who is attending because we can go BIG or we can go BIGGER!!

Just a heads up that I need to finalize this party first thing next week, so please shoot me an email at [email protected] if you think you have interest in gathering together on Thursday night before the big drafts. I'll send an email reminder out this week as well. I think it's a great way to get everyone together and to enjoy the first night of games during March Madness, so let me know if you're interested. It should be fun and we'll have food, drink and maybe even a card game among the participants.

Thanks all and see the list above for who is coming!! Thanks.

Okay, we have 33 folks committed to the NCAA Viewing Party now. I know that some of you are checking your schedules to see if you're free that night, but come on, join us for this. You can pay on the spot, but just let me know ahead of time so that I don't order too much or too little food. I'd love to get to 40 folks for this and then the space would be perfect!! Thanks all and come and join us. The Fanduel folks will be there as well and they want to meet everyone as well.

Here's the current party list. Email me at [email protected] if you want to attend. $100 for food and drink and a big screen TV plus another TV for the secondary games. Monet 1 is a perfect setup for this:

This is going to be a fun, fun time today!! Everyone plan on coming to Monet 1 by around 4 pm. I think the second wave of games start out here like 3:30 or so, so don't worry about getting there a little early. The last games start at 6:45 pm PT, so we'll keep this going until 9 or so. Everyone on the list is ready to come and if anyone else wants to partake, just stop on over and we'll order more food if we have to. I ordered for 5 more people just in case and I've heard from a few folks who want to come now. Please come, we'll have plenty of space and drinks. The cost is $100 per person because we're serving buffet and drinks along with two TVs. Should be fun, fun.

Monet 1, right next to the Business Center in the conference room. The sportsbook will be PACKED, so this will be a great way to sit and talk baseball while we're all losing our NCAA bets!! Plus we can cuss at Andy Saxton from 3,000 miles away about our NFBC brackets that are blowing up in front of our eyes!! Good job there Andy and it would be great to get 100+ teams in that contest and a first place prize of $2,000. I'm sending my bracket now. Thanks all and Tom and I are ready to welcome you to the party this afternoon. CAN'T WAIT!! 8-)

I had a great time at the Viewing Party last night. There's too many to list (and I don't want to risk missing out on naming anyone with my sleep deprived brain right now), but it was great seeing some old familiar faces again and meeting some new ones as well.

One of the best things about our high stakes community is the ability to spend time with others that share a passion for this great hobby of ours. For the past couple seasons, this party was a great venue for doing so in a low key, low stress environment before we all go to battle in the days that follow.

I had a lot of fun, a lot of laughs, and now look forward to the start of the live drafts today. It was a blast chatting with many of you yesterday and wish you all good luck in your drafts.
