Live Scoring

Post by Money » Sun Mar 31, 2013 6:47 pm

I hate to bitch so early, but from day one when the new live scoring was unveiled it was communicated that a stream of stats was not what most wanted to see. Here we are 6 months later and we have the same thing. Why? Most will not notice today, but once we get going most will not like what they see.

This has been discussed all winter long. Why no change?

Not noticing any sign of overall scoring at this point either.

I was able to view live scoring on Chrome, not on Internet Explorer.

My apologies, there are signs of live overall scoring. Will be excited to see how live it is. Hopefully it is drawing on the feed from the league live scoring. The delayed stuff is bad as you don't know what is included. That was maddening in football.

Nah, not failure to launch. We wanted to test it last night during one game so that it works well today. I don't think anyone lost any sleep by not seeing live overall standings with just one game last night.

We hope it works well today. Enjoy and let's see what happens.

In DC leagues 5 and 6 everyone still has 0 points.

I see different numbers between the old and the new version of league standings. The old appears correct as the new isn't calculating all of the pitching stats under the live league standings tab.

I have also seen periodically stats that do not appear and the screen needs to be refreshed. When you do everything appears correctly. This is on the live scoring tab for your team.

Maybe I am missing something but Live ERA and WHIP don't seem to be updating for my XII leagues. It's keeping 0's from yesterday as the Season score and not taking into account today's action (it is calculating W's and K's).

Good to hear!! I mean, a positive comment!! THANKS KJ.

KJ, it's cool to see your avatar as your dog. My punishment for being gone 12 days is a new dog waiting for me at the door, with the kids too scared to tell me about this new addition while I was gone. I'm still missing my dog of 15 1/2 years who died in November, but I guess a new dog is a good thing. A black lab who seems to have replaced me in the kids' eyes as their favorite friend!! Oh well.

This should be fixed now. We had this set up wrong, but it should be good now. Thanks.

Hey Greg- good luck to both of us with our Lab 's. My chocolate one is one big nice pain in the kiester... Having been a Sheppard owner my whole life, I did not realize these labs like to "play" so much, let alone chew everything. But the kids lover her, so....

Always though Lab's were cool...

Feel lucky. My family stuck me with a....cat!
Baseball is a slow, boring, complex, cerebral game that doesn't lend itself to histrionics. You 'take in' a baseball game, something odd to say about a football or basketball game, with the clock running and the bodies flying.

Greg, FYI the OL and XII Live Scoring (League) doesn't look to be functioning. There are no season stats...just today's stats. Main looks to be ok?

It appears the old version of the live scoring works but the new version does not? Last night the WHIP/ERA issues alluded to above were still popping up in the new version.

Hmmm, we'll look at both of these now before the night games get rolling. Thanks for the heads up.

No problem. Just looked again now and you get different results between the new and old versions so something is up. Appreciate you guys looking into it.

I'm on your NFBC XII teams now and it's all there. I see the Previous Stats and Live Scoring for Chris Davis. Everything is there. If you're on Internet Explorer, try a different browser like Firefox or Google Chrome. Thanks.

We've kept the old version there in case anyone has browser issues with the new version. You might have different results because the old version is slower, but both are working.

I think I may have found the issue. In the old version of live scoring teams with a 0 WHIP or ERA (if they havent had pitchers pitch yet) are at the bottom of the standings for those categories but in the new version they are at the top. This affects the points allocation for the entire league. In the standings from yesterday it appears they are at the bottom. This will work itself out, but FYI.

I was checking old and new live scoring on my Main team and new scoring seemed/was wrong. The old scoring seemed correct and worked just fine. Not that it matters, but I personally like the old scoring, its just cleaner and easiar to read and had the team point changes on the same page, as well as the MLB scoreboard with current scores and inning. Hopefully the option to choose the old style will remain.

Internet Explorer simply doesn't work, just keeps loading forever. So I use Firefox, which was fine yesterday. Tonight I click on the Firefox shortcut and it tells me this -

I'm no fan of CBS. They change the goddamn site every yr, and for the worse. However I must say that they're live scoring works nearly 100% of the time. I can def. not say that about stats, which seems ridiculous based on the co's name.

If I seem abit salty I apologize, but I was damn near dead last after the 1st day's action and now w/ MadBum pitching well I'd like to see how the hell my team is doing

* Def. has something to do w/ stats b/c I can go to CBS, Fanduel, my bank, hotmail...everywhere but the NFBC.
Always be closing.

Rockit- I've seen this before, especially with wireless internet at home. More often than not, your cache and cookies have to be cleared. I've been using this free tool for over 3 years now and it almostt always fixes the problem and will clean all three browsers. Internet Explorer, Firefox and Chrome all are starting to hide their cookies and cache in different folders now. If you think the tradtional places where they used store information are the only ones, they are not. they are making it more difficult to clear where you have surfed/been for obvious reasons.

the Free version works great: http://www.piriform.com/ccleaner

After you install it you can enhance the cleaning with this little addon tool: It installs on top of CC cleaner.
