During the last 24 hours, I have heard on radio and seen in print that Didi Gregarius is a 'regression' candidate.
Wow, these guys are smart, ain't they?

Are writers and talking heads so eager to use the 'R' word that they'll use it on a little shortstop, hitting eighth in a National League lineup, who happened to have a good first week of Major League ball?
C'mon.
You guys are like a 300 pound mountain lion in a corral of injured lambs.

These talking heads and writers love being right. And Gregarius is easy prey.
At the same time, they think a little bit less of us for pinning hopes on players like Gregarius. Forgetting that the only reason Gregarius is starting is the very reason he gets these bids.
Injury.
And it won't stop there. Each week a player will come around and hit a couple of homers and get high bids. It's early in the season. The best time to catch lightning in a bottle.
If Anthony Rendon hits two or three homers this week, you can bet your sweet ass there will be high bids on him next week.
And you know what?
These same writers will use the 'r' word. Again. And his owners won't care.
They know he can be sent down. They know he may not hit two or three homers in a week again this year.
They don't need to be told.
They know.
