Dan Straily wasn't drafted in my league but was called up, started and won then got sent back down.

Does that not qualify him to be available to pickup or do they need to be on the 25-man MLB roster at the 7am Sunday deadline?

He won't be available in your league until he is called back up to the majors. He needs to be on an MLB 25-man roster by 7 am on Sunday.

I guess (hypothetically) a pitcher could start once a week and get sent down every Saturday which would keep him ineligible for pickup except in leagues where he got picked on draft day.

No - he couldn't. There is a minimum amount of time a player must remain in the minors after being optioned back down (unless there is an injury) specifically to prevent an MLB team from using the potential loophole.

My point is:

NFBC won't let you stash a player who gets called up, starts and wins a game then is no longer on the 25-man roster at 7am Sunday.

It is hard to stash in NFBC...competition knows everyone...Straily was drafted and dropped. He was picked up this last week for I believe more than 120. majority knows about these players. i would like to see what he goes for when called up.

Straily will be called up Monday to fill in for the wonky Brett Anderson.

He could pitch well and get another win but if he's sent back down by Saturday he won't be available as a free agent in NFBC, again.

Yet, I'm still able to pickup Colby Lewis, Beachy, Pineda, Feliz, and Daniel Hudson who haven't played yet this year. Thank goidness for the DL loophole.

Straily was sent down immediately after the Monday game (therefore ineligible) but was recalled mid-week via injury exception (so now eligible) after Brett Anderson was put on the DL.
