A more dominating performance by Harvey than most no-hitters - thought he was going to get him on that throw but it was the right call.

I saw him come out for the 1st with a bloody nose and he just didn't care and mowed down the side in order and as everyone knows, 23 of the next 24. Quite the dominant effort as you noted. I said to myself on the infield single how the ump could call him safe on such a close call and then they showed the replay and it really wasn't close at all.

The comparisons to Doc Gooden are coming more real for Mets fans and baseball in general with each start. Every 5th day is becoming "The Event", especially when at home.

Disagree. It's not way too early for comparisons to Doc Gooden. In fact its perfect timing considering Doc was far from being a hall of famer and his real dominance came in his first two seasons. Comparing him to Tom Seaver would be too early. And he has made 17 starts and he did pitch dominantly last year. I doubt he will pitch 1.00 ERA all season but he is the best pitcher in baseball right now.

Don't forget he pitched last year against many good hitting teams and was still extremely good. Nats 1ER, Rockies 1ER, Reds 1ER, SF 2ER, Atl 2ER. It will even out and he isn't going to pitch every game like he did last night, but we aren't dealing with a 1 pitch fireballer or a crafty pitcher. We are watching a dominant 4 pitch guy with a high 90s fastball with movement. The makings of greatness.

None of the numbers can come close to finishing there....combine basic regression with better lineups he'll settle back in. Still could be one of the best but this run will be ending sooner than later

Thats silly, watch the guy pitch. The only way he will regress is if he gets hurt.....It's had to regress with a 98mph heater...lol
