I don't know what the all time record bid is. But I'll bet this is the record for a part time player. I'm in awe or is that shock???

My recollection for the all-time record was in year 1, NL Auction league, after being traded to the NL between auction and opening day, Milton Bradley sold for $953.

I spent 971 in week 3 in the NFFC and won the league!! You never know. No guts no glory...He has 70 moves left. He might not need the money if he is out of it in July.

Milton Bradley was me two years ago in an NL Auction League. $953 sounds about right. ( I have my lottery # t-night) Team started well and was hit with alot of injuries. Not having $$$ wasn't the downfall because in a "AL/NL" League only the pickings are very slim. I slipped and faded away with that team but would do the SAME thing again. I applaud the guy that showed the BASEBALLS necessary to put himself ALL-IN that early. Good luck guys, enjoy da season.

Just so everyone knows , im the one who bid the 922 on pena, i was having a little fun with my self calling the guy who bid the 922 an idiot. It just seems that some of the guys couldnt get over the bid.Just dont want people to think that im calling people idiot's, im happy i have pena.

Last year i didnt pick up anyone on the waiver wire with his upside, sometimes in auction leagues , not mix , nothing comes up, especially hitting. We will see if pena make's a difference at the end of the season. good luck all.

I think it was a pretty good move since there usually isn't anyone of that caliber come available in the AL/NL only leagues. It took a lot of brass to make that move, so congrats

How much was the next highest bid for Wily Mo? That's what always interests me. If Eddie spent $500 more than he needed to spend, then he might second geuss himself at end of year. If the next highest bid was $800, then it wasn't really that bad of a bid...

Personally, I'm second geussing myself for not bidding more than $350 for Burgos prior to week 1 of main event. I lost out by $5 measely dollars. That may cost me a lot more than a $400 bid would have cost...
