Trevor Bauer Bid Question

Post by atki5269 » Sun May 19, 2013 11:14 am

Need some help with this one ...

We created a bid for Trevor Bauer on Monday when he was called up for his spot start. He has since been demoted and is no longer available in the player pool. Our bid is still showing, but will it be valid? My main concern is that the whole bid setup will error out and we will miss out on our conditionals as well. Any help is appreciated. Thanks

He isn't eligible. Just delete the bid and enter a new one with the top contingency being the primary bid..

Just to answer this question: It would not have eliminated your thread of bids just because you had Bauer listed at the top. The system would have known that Bauer was no longer eligible for bidding and gone down to your conditional bids in the order of dollars assigned to your remaining pickups. But as Todd stated, you still had time to delete the bid and start over.

Bauer is being moved up and down as the Indians need an extra start, which is unfortunate. I'd like to see him stick in the majors and see what he could do by throwing strikes more often.

So in the three Online Championship leagues where he was successfully picked up yesterday, we should assume he was chosen on draft day and since dropped otherwise he would be unavailable.

Correct. Once he was drafted and dropped, he remains in the FAAB pool the entire year. When he wasn't drafted and hasn't been picked up yet, he's treated like any other minor-leaguer. He needs to be on an MLB roster by Sunday morning to be picked up in that league.
