The Yankees are going in the wrong direction, my friend. Not looking good. All of those broken down, has beens they signed are starting to show their true colors.

Maybe it will be the highlight of the season or maybe its the start of a turnaround... but for now, its a SWEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEP of the Bronx "Bombers"

And when they follow that with a typical bad news bears 4-5 game losing streak you will go radio silent again for a moth or so (like you did after the Mets roared out of the gates 2-0!!!!!!!!)

I never go silent. I am always on the boards. I don't give up on anything, unlike some.

Alan,

Do you really want to go back and revisit this again after your obvious shallow apology?

We will see about that... Maybe the Mets do finish last, but a lot more to look forward to, than the old, broken down Yankees.

All I can say is Dillon Gee just struck out 12 against the bombers at Yankee Stadium. DILLON GEE!!! That is not a good sign Yankee fans.

Calm down genius, obviously you are over-sensitive, as my comment had nothing to do with that incident. You accused me of being a disappearing fan, and I am far from an invisible Mets fan... its in my frickin name. Other Mets fans here, come and go, as the team performs. I am always here... That is all that was intended in that statement.

Takes a while to retool when you make the playoffs 17 out of 18 yrs.... We will once again soon have the best team money can buy, why- becuase we are a printing press..... We are not Madoff's Mets without a pot to piss in or fans in the stands... but Cheers for the Metsies on their Sweep of the old Yankees...

Alan, let these poor Yankees fans have their grasping at straws rhetoric. Believe me, down deep they see the writing on the wall. We have David Wright, Matt Harvey, Bobby Parnell, Zach Wheeler and a bevy of other elite arms on the farm waiting their turn, and now of course.....the sweep. :) Pretty much all they've got left to look forward to is Mariano's fairwell tour.

Of course they also still have their memories of chemically induced days gone by of glory. At least noone can ever take that away from them. This isn't the NCAA where they take away championships for...ahem...we'll call them transgressions. ;)

Wright and who else in the lineup, The Mets got nothing in the farm system besides the catcher. Worst OF in the majors and not one decent OF in the minors. Wright will be on the wrong side of 30 soon.

That being said, I do see the Mets in the playoffs probably in 2015, possibly even next year as long as they fix the OF by spending some money. They should bring up Backman along with Wheeler next week.

I agree...the Mutts are close...

All they need is for their catcher of the future to get healthy...

A shortstop would be nice....

Oh...and a second baseman that can hit AND field....

First base is kind of a mess...

A centerfielder is always good....

Right field is kind of a dark hole, too...

A lefthander out of the bullpen not named Rice or Carson would be an upgrade...

But other than that, they are close...real close!

Just yanking you guys around a bit. Great sweep of the Yanks. I always love seeing the Yankees lose, even if I was raised to respect my elders. 8-) :D
Baseball is a slow, boring, complex, cerebral game that doesn't lend itself to histrionics. You 'take in' a baseball game, something odd to say about a football or basketball game, with the clock running and the bodies flying.
