What Technical Improvements Would You Like To See?
Re: What Technical Improvements Would You Like To See?
Greg, what about the .......................................................... date activated .............................. column?
Re: What Technical Improvements Would You Like To See?
Sorry if this was already mentioned. I would love to see either the initials "DL" or the nice red cross next to the names of players in free agency currently on the DL. I assume if it pops up next to players on my roster it should be just as easy to have it pop up on free agents. Thanks.
OK - So I'm not as good as I thought I was; but at least I am consistent.

Re: What Technical Improvements Would You Like To See?
I have to believe this can be done and I am just a fool. If it cannot be done, it seems like something that would be nice to have.
When I go to "team stats" I can see my players numbers for each individual period. I can see MLB YTD and fantasy YTD. I can even see "on pace for" (which I like).
I do not see the ability to see how they have done for the last 2, 3 or even 4 weeks in the same way we can with free agents. If I want to review my team and see how guys are currently trending, that would be helpful. Now I ask this question having the feeling this can be done and I just don't know how to do it.

Re: What Technical Improvements Would You Like To See?
I would like to see HR allowed by pitchers in the pitchers' expanded stats.
I feel like I'm the Jerry Quarry of the NFBC.
Re: What Technical Improvements Would You Like To See?
My head is spinning from the yo-yo callups and demotions and how a player is sometimes available for pickup then not. Examples are Anthony Rendon and Dan Straily.
There are eligibility requirements for positions that, once met, don't change.
Could there be an eligibility requirement for free agent callups that doesn't evaporate once a player gets sent down?
Most rules at NFBC seem to favor making a level playing field across all leagues but when a player is available as a free agent in some leagues but not others seems to create inconsistency.

I like this one too. We can sort stats for available free agents based on multiple week performance (last week, last 2 weeks, ect) but I can't seem to do it for players on my team.Driver Love wrote:I have to believe this can be done and I am just a fool. Re: What Technical Improvements Would You Like To See?
Not sure whats so confusing about it. They have to be on an MLB Active Roster by 7:00AM (i think thats the time) on Sunday, UNLESS they were drafted, then they remain in the free agent pool all year. Pretty clear cut to me. Not sure why this keeps becoming an issue. Be thankful you haven't been able to pick up Straily and saved your ERA a beating.Deadheadz wrote:My head is spinning from the yo-yo callups and demotions and how a player is sometimes available for pickup then not. Re: What Technical Improvements Would You Like To See?
In a whiney (no offense, deadheadz) sort of way, Deadheadz may have stumbled onto a rule change that may be worth discussing.
We cannot bid on minor leaguers because Greg has said that the player pool would just be too large. So the rule now is that players not rostered by a Major League team at 7a.m. Sundays, unless drafted, are not available for FAAB.
How about this change-
Any player that has achieved Major League status during the current year REMAINS in the FAAB pool. It would be fair for all leagues. It would enlarge our pool a bit, without the whole minor league list, which is a good thing. And also stops the frustration of a player we like being called up, then sent down before having the opportunity to bid on them.
Something to think about....

Great Idea Dough!!!!
Re: What Technical Improvements Would You Like To See?
As an indecisive person that makes a long list of secondary bids in FAAB, I'd love the ability to change the primary player within a bid group without having to delete the entire group and start all over.
Re: What Technical Improvements Would You Like To See?
You can already do this - just click "edit" next to the player and then select new player. Even nicer would be the ability to just bump up a contingent bid to the to primary bid spot without having to change the primary player through the edit process but perhaps this is a programming nightmare.TParsons wrote:As an indecisive person that makes a long list of secondary bids in FAAB, I'd love the ability to change the primary player within a bid group without having to delete the entire group and start all over.

Click edit then scroll down and select player to swap in. However, if you change the list from pitchers to hitters, for example, I think you have to click edit again before selecting a player.
Re: What Technical Improvements Would You Like To See?
Sometimes I'll load a Dummy player in the 2nd spot and make sure I don't select a player to drop until usually Sunday. The Dummy player I edit out to the actual player I want second. Edit out for main or secondary players works fine. I also sometimes to use the copy function.
It could be more user friendly, but I'm sure overtime improvements will be made...

Can't this just be made to be easier for us by STATS?
All it would take is a 'move up' and 'move down' click to the right for ALL players. Right?

you are right Dough, just eliminate the the primary/top player so all players can be moved up or down

Re: What Technical Improvements Would You Like To See?
When researching players and going to their player page you should be able to use the toggle between leagues and pull that player up in the league that you've chosen. Currently if you switch to another league it takes you to a search page instead of that players page.

Re: What Technical Improvements Would You Like To See?
Yes, this seems like a no brainer rule change and probably a lot easier to program as well.Any player that has achieved Major League status during the current year REMAINS in the FAAB pool.
This process does need some cleaning up. Perhaps a player search box on the free agent page where you can type in a name and get a list of players and click on the one you're looking for would save a lot of time. Scrolling the player list can take a lot of time especially if you forgot where the player you're looking for was in the list. Even an option to alphabetize the player list would save a lot of frantic scrolling at 7:58 on Sunday. As an indecisive person that makes a long list of secondary bids in FAAB, I'd love the ability to change the primary player within a bid group without having to delete the entire group and start all over.
