T. Wigginton has four HRs and a .300 BA with Huff going on the DL...I wonder how much money out of the various free agent pools will be drained on him this week since he is apparently currently owned by only 4.2% of the teams?

Baseball is a slow, boring, complex, cerebral game that doesn't lend itself to histrionics. You 'take in' a baseball game, something odd to say about a football or basketball game, with the clock running and the bodies flying.

He hit cleanup last night and the TB beat writers seem to think huff may be out longer than 4-6. I own huff!! Ouch!

I Grabbed Wiggington in the reserves in both my A.L. Auctions, Vegas And R.I. I just remember he was a mix league pick the year before , but pitt would not give him at bats . Even the week he was sent to the minors he belted 2 hr's.I also grabbed Branyan in Vegas for a dollar , so good back up . Need to get lucky , once in a while.

I drafted him in Veags. I thought he was primed for a 20hr plus season and he was 2B and 3B eligible. But Pitt sucks when it comes to baseball moves so they never really gave him a chance. Maybe this is the year! We'll see. Get your FAAB ready!

TB is bad too but I don't think they top Pitt. Remember Pitt had Tike Redman hitting third last year? And why do you go out and sign Jeromy Burnitz when you have Craig Wilson? They both suck! TB's hesitance to call up their young prospects (Young, Upton, Dukes) may pay dividends one day. If I ran TB I'd trade Lugo and Huff (Both FA's next year) on july 31st for pitching.

That's what I thought...hoped...thanks!

I like Wigginton...I think he has a little upside...I feel I am loaded in corners/corner elibable players (Tex, Rameriz, Glaus, Youklis, Gibbons), but I might have to go fishing for him just to keep him out of other peoples hands....especially since Tampa #3 is SOOOO competitive! :D

I got Wigginton for $1 in a satellite last week due to Chippers injury. So far he has been a steal as he has been close to my best player so far :(

If I didn't live in Tampa, would have never bid on him, but due to all the injuries and his versatility, he should be an everyday player for a while now.

BTW, Huff is on the downside, can't wait for the D-rays to trade him. Would be nice to get a SP or a closer. Same with Gaithright...trade him for some pitching and bring up the young guys.

So far I have enjoyed my $1 buys...Wigginton and Villarreal(3 Wins!) And Repko for $9 was worth it for the 2 steals.

How many other people bid on Wigginton last week??

Another acquistion for my team last week was B. McCarthy...can anyone else see him becoming the closer this year?

And in the words of Comic Book Guy "Worst pickup ever"....Brazelton, what a waste.

Back on Wiggington for a minute, his 2003 numbers ,11 hr 71 rbi 255 bavg with 12 sb, thats in 573 at bats. Then 2004 17 hr 66 rbi 261 bavg and 7 steals. So now going into 2005 season he's at the majic age of 27.His power went up in 79 less at bats , i can see the makings for a decent season , so why did pitt just drop him to the minors so early in the season , like i said early he hit 2 homers the week they sent him down. Just happy i had him in the back of my mind, and getting him for nothing. TY keep it going, im rooting for you.
