6. DOUGHBOYS- I love Doritos. Mark Bendar gave me a bag at the Main Event. Yummmmm.
Thought you might find this funny...

Baseball is a slow, boring, complex, cerebral game that doesn't lend itself to histrionics. You 'take in' a baseball game, something odd to say about a football or basketball game, with the clock running and the bodies flying.

Ha!
I'd probably be the only one there that only came for the Doritos!

Had all except 3

Had no idea Greg had such love for the blackberry.

Not knowing Dave Potts & guitar is just uh duh ! I have davepotts dot com saved as a favorite for crissakes! He's Good Folk......man :D That's just like him, damn low talker!

I didn't know Max was #17, but from what I've read from him it fits, seems like a lovely chap and the poor guy is another long suffering Cubs fan.

I thought Meat Loaf was #18 because of the clue he played in NFBC once. KJ told me of this Snake fellow, sounds unpleasant.

What about these Dan ?

21. Bellybutton hair from the Windy city
22. Boogie Knights
23. Yet another fat guy with a hot wife sitcom
24. Paperbag
25. Goodfellas
26. Afro
27. Mia :D
28. Pass the Dutchie
29. Roll Tide
30. 76ers
31. Red Rider's best song
32. Richard Greico's twin
33. Vanilla/Chocolate/Strawberry
34. Fughettaboutit, he's all in !
35. George Costanza the Mets fan
36. Super Powerful Law Firm
37. yet another deluded Muts fan, perhaps part of another law firm too!
38. obese bucket of slime
39. the Killer's biggest fan, and I ain't talkin' bout the piano player.
40. A slave that leads a revolt and his name ain't Django !

Some are way too easy, some maybe terrible clues (unless you have inside info. dig deep !) I will provide the answers later, but guess away. John Crane aka Walla Walla is NOT Richard Grieco's twin, I will tell you that much.

I have to admit, I don't get some of the clues. For instance, I have no idea who Richard Greico is and I'm one of the few folks who hasn't seen Goodfellas, but I'll give it a try....

21. Russ
23. Glenn
24. Ken
26. Matt
27. Rog
29. Ken
30 Andy
31. Jim
34. Jeff
35-37. Could all be Alan
38. Terry
39. Eddie
40. Bob

Hmmm, I think I did better than thought, over half....

Not bad Dan, better than most I suspect however I'm shocked. Shocked I am that you don't know Richard Grieco. Well that is going to change.

You know the NFBC better than anyone, I can't believe you don't know #22, but more on that. I'll explain each.

21. Naval Lint aka Russ, Cubs fan & another resident historian. Outstanding with the pic's too.
22. Boogie Nights is an excellent movie featuring a character by the name of Chest Rockwell, around these parts we know him as Kent Stermon. Well I guess Spartacus would be more up your alley Dan
23. Another one correct Dan, of course it's Glenn aka King of Queens.
24. Another easy one, a true OG, Auction Champ, Ken Magner aka Sack.
25. Goodfellas refers to my favorite fantasy baseball writer - the Wiseguy aka Gene McCaffrey.
26. Even if you never met one of the nicest dudes in the NFBC you'd have a picture in mind based on his avatar - the HUGE AFRO of Oscar Gamble.....Matt Anderson aka Ando, he looks about as far from ol Oscar as possible
27. Many of us have gotten to know Roger Martin and are so happy for he and his family, especially his daughter Mia.
28. It seems like every year I've been in the NFBC this guy has kicked my butt in a satellite of something - he goes by Dutch Mafia hence the Dutchie, he is John Pausma.
29. Possibly the easiest clue and together with the MadCow, Ken is getting known better each day.
30. Andy Saxton, Philly fan and all around great human being (how can he not be after the first part?), President of Ethan Martin fan club.
31. LUNATIC fringe, Jim Christie knows you & Fergie Jenkins are out there !!! And he's coming for ya!
32. Most SNL sketches that are turned into movies are terrible, but there was one. It was called "Night at the Roxbury" and it featured the comic genius of Will Ferrell & Chris Kattan. It also had the legendary Richard Grieco. He is the personification of cool. Who in the NFBC best resembles THAT ? Who is Grieco's twin? I know some are screaming it has to be Massotto, but no it is not. It is Scott Fleming 8-)
33. Another East Coast guy, the Ice Cream Man - Roy Erickson.
34. Jeff "ALL IN" Dobies, another ez one. JD was on Matt Harvey before every Mets fan and it disgusts them all. Good Luck JD ! Little known fact - has done shots with David Wells, just kidding, that would be awesome if true. I know someone who burned one with Tom Sizemore but that's probably something alot of people say
35. This is based on personal observation. I met this cool dude in Vegas this year and he was decked out in Met orange & blue. He had that NY accent and just physically reminded me of George Costanza. He is one of your favorite people Dan, as he brought you a bag of Doritos! He is Mark Bendar.
36. Our man in Chicago - the lawyer who beat Craig Hodges in a game of HORSE. He is Jack Haan aka the MIGHTY MEN.
37. THIS is where our good buddy Alan resides. As Glenn is to Seaver, Alan is to...Jeremy Hefner  Just messin' with ya Alan. You're a Doc Gooden as far as I'm concerned. I just always thought Alan had the last name you hear in a tv ad, "DWI. Whiplash. Balls crushed by a parking meter. Don't worry. Call the law offices of Greenburg, Osbourne, & Greenburg TODAY".
38 - 40. These were easy as Dan rightly guessed. Former $100K champ Terry Haney is well known as Fat Tub of Goo. I haven't heard from Eddie Gillis on boards much lately (though I'm one to talk) but he's a great guy and has always been known as a diehard Harmon "Killer" Killebrew fan. The last clue was a movie Dan had seen, "Spartacus" which is the handle of another most excellent dude and formidable opponent in NFBC, Bob Mazur.

OK, hope that alleviated the boredom of dog days of summer for 5 min's anyway.

Nice Job Dave.

Sorry I missed out on reading your post earlier. Between you and Dan, you guys did a good job of covering the message board posters.

There is little doubt that the MB isn't what it was four or five years ago, but it's still fun, at least for me, to read what is posted and make occasional comments. 8-)
