The NFBC'S LITTLE GIRL(MIA)

Post by Rog » Fri Aug 30, 2013 8:07 am

Just wanted to give a heads up on her recovery.
She had her 9 month MRI last last Wednesday. It is her 3rd one since her surgery. The doctors were very pleased with the results ,no sign of the tumor returning and the healing process looks really good.
She just started 2nd grade last week and is very excited about just being a kid again.
I just wanted to say thanks again for everybody's support as everything seems to be returning back to somewhat normal.
I wanted to give an extra thanks to all in the Mia league .
A special thank you for all your support and help through all of this to Dan,Mike and KJ the Nfbc and all of its family. You all made this a little bit easier to handle. Thank You

Absolutely THE feel good story of the 2013 Fantasy year.
I don't know what was more awesome, seeing a bunch of thick skinned, trash talking, hard core fantasy hearts being melted by this little girl, or the way members of the NFBC rallied around and for the Martin Family in making this an easier time for them and giving them the peace that others were joining them in this fight .
An episode like this can be terrifying for any parents. Leaving them almost unbelieving in what has happened.
Luckily, this story played out like a fairy tale and had a happy ending.
It doesn't get any more WIN-WIN than this.
Way to go Mia!
On my tombstone-
Wait! I never had the perfect draft!

Having a bad week, but now I smile.

Congratulations to you and your family and especially Mia! Wonderful news! :D
Baseball is a slow, boring, complex, cerebral game that doesn't lend itself to histrionics. You 'take in' a baseball game, something odd to say about a football or basketball game, with the clock running and the bodies flying.

People ask me what I do in winter when there's no baseball. I'll tell you what I do. I stare out the window and wait for spring.
