Shared Prize Forms Due Wednesday Oct. 9
We once again have forms that will allow you to distribute your prize winnings however you choose. In order to do that, you must contact me for the form ([email protected]), have it notarized and sent back to me by Wednesday, Oct. 9. If the forms are not sent back by then the prize winnings will be paid out to the primary owner only. If you'd like this form contact me and I'll get you all set up. Good luck to everyone in the hunt for prize money in all of our leagues in the season's final week.

Re: Shared Prize Forms Due Monday Oct. 7
Tom - when do you expect to start mailing out checks? I'm assuming sometime in mid-late October. Thanks in advance - Pete.
OK - So I'm not as good as I thought I was; but at least I am consistent.

Pete, assuming there are no one-game playoffs I think we can start sending checks out no later than Oct. 18 and hopefully sooner. I believe last year we sent checks out about 21/2 weeks or so after the final regular season games.

Payout speed of NFBC is one of the items that keeps them the class of the high stakes fantasy sports arena. Always nice to get paid quickly.
People ask me what I do in winter when there's no baseball. I'll tell you what I do. I stare out the window and wait for spring.

With the regular season not ending as scheduled we'll push back the deadline to submit the shared prize forms. Please send them to me by Wednesday, Oct. 9. Thanks and congrats to everyone cashing in this season.

If we want to do a shared winner form, does the other person have to officially signed up as the co-owner? And does that person need a W9 on file?

We can't pay anyone without a W9. Government wants to know who is getting earned income.BEF wrote:If we want to do a shared winner form, does the other person have to officially signed up as the co-owner? And does that person need a W9 on file?

Re: Shared Prize Forms Due Wednesday Oct. 9
Thanks. But what about the first part? Does the other person have to be an official co-owner of the team in order to create their own separate W9 online in the system? Because when I went to add that person by clicking Settings>W9 Online, it brought up only my account and I couldn't create a new profile just for the other person's W9. Did I do something incorrectly?

Re: Shared Prize Forms Due Wednesday Oct. 9
Only the primary owner needs to fill out the online W9 form on the site. If you are the primary owner and are sharing prizes you can provide all info (including SSN) for the person(s) you are sharing prizes with on the shared prizes form.

The first batch of winning checks went out on Friday night as planned and the rest are going out shortly. It was a lot more checks than we've ever sent out before. Look for your prizes in the mail shortly. Congrats all.Money wrote:Just wondering if this date held?Tom Kessenich wrote:Pete, assuming there are no one-game playoffs I think we can start sending checks out no later than Oct. 18 and hopefully sooner.
