We did play with Stolen Bases at 4, 5 and 6 points and you can definitely see certain players rise or fall pretty far compared to where they will go in NFBC 5x5 drafts. We found that at 6 points per stolen base they rose too high and at 4 points per stolen base they fell too far. Five points fell in line with our current Roto values.
You can do the same thing with Saves and Wins. Both of those totals seem high, but change the scoring there and some guys will fall out of line from where they will be drafted in NFBC 5x5 drafts. If you look at the current point totals, it makes sense and maybe we need a complete player point total from 2013 on the site when we unveil the Cutline Championship so that people do have a better understanding of our scoring format and player values. If we do this right, players should be drafted pretty similarly in the NFBC Cutline Championship as they are in any other NFBC format. The difference is just 10 teams and a fun Best Ball format with limited in-season pickups.

I don't know what that means.
It makes as much sense to me as 'humble opinions'
Just once I'd like to see somebody say, 'In my I don't give a rat's ass opinion of your opinion....'
In my I don't give a rat's ass opinion of your opinion, that would just be more fun.
I could personally give a rat's ass about how you feel about my not so humble opinion.

On a scale (do they weigh numbers?) of 1 to 11, I rate this post an 11.

On my tombstone-
Wait! I never had the perfect draft!

Wall Street guys never say "in my humble opinion". No one pays for a humble opinion.
Here's what your humble opinion gets you ...

It didn't come out right, KJ, I couldn't see it.
No politicians ever say, 'In my humble opinion' either. It puts a meekness to a statement. Matter of fact, I think I've only seen it online.
In real life I never hear, 'IN MY HUMBLE OPINION, YOU SUCK!
I only hear, 'YOU SUCK!'...I hear it a lot, so I know...
I got some great advice from Thomas A. Online once. He said, 'Never print online what you wouldn't say in real life'.
Smart man, that Thomas A. Online.

I don't want to hi-jack the thread, but can we also do away with using
-obviously
-of course
-it goes without saying
Of course, if it was so obvious, it needn't be said.

People ask me what I do in winter when there's no baseball. I'll tell you what I do. I stare out the window and wait for spring.

Being a Mets fan, even I am shocked that Daniel Murphy is ranked #30 on that list. I cannot imagine drafting him in the 2nd round (or 3rd round in a Cutline) in any draft this year. He had the most unnoticed 23 SBs in major league history. But I suppose, looking at the numbers and considering he is a 2nd baseman, maybe he does go higher than I thought.

Sure was quiet, I had no idea. He was as good or better than Kinsler across the board in every category.
