Is this Max's league or another 1K DC?

I was under the impression Max's league invites back the same owners as last year initially, then goes to the public to fill the remaining openings. He usually starting drumming interest in mid-to-late December and we begin drafting on the Monday when Spring Training begins, typically in mid-to-late February.

Please clarify.

Thank you

Sure, if Max's league wants to set a draft date and invite owners back again, then let's set it up. We put the $1,000 league on Registration right from the start this year so that we didn't have to wait for that to be added later like in past years. Now it's there and ready to go. If all 15 owners come back for Max's league then we'll be good to go, but if not we'll have owners on standby ready to fill in. And if we happen to get a second league at this price or more, that's fine, too.

Thanks all. Usually Max's league starts the third week of February.

Tom

What do you mean when you say that "this will be part of the national contest?"

Thanks

Just means that the league is part of the $20,000 Draft Champions contest (just like the $150 and the $400 DC leagues). Different league pay-outs at different price levels, but all participants also eligible for same national prizes.

Yup, that league remains intact and those same 15 owners get first dibs on spots. I'll let Max get this one rolling again if he's still in and we'll let him set the draft date. Then we'll start with the signup list. Thanks all.

Max,
I believe that based on the posts in this thread, you can also add Marc Perlmutter and Greg/Barry to this list of committed returning owners. Although you may just want to contact Lowy and tell him to just give up on this league since he gets his ass handed to him every year he participates in it. :P

Hi Guys… Tom asked that those that are coming back, go online and register for the $1000 Draft Champions League as soon as you can. Then he has a real list of players that are coming back!

OK, here's the skinny on this league. All of these leagues are auto-created so as soon as the 15th signup comes in, the league is created and the draft begins the following day. Since this league drafts in February we obviously don't want that to occur. I've asked our tech guys if we can shut this one off from being auto-created. If that can be done then everyone can sign up and we'll determine the start of the draft based on what all of you agree to like we've done in the past. For now, though, people can sign up who have agreed to take part. If we get close to 15 signups we'll tell you to STOP until we can figure out how to set this up to start in February.

Sound good? Here are the current list of signups.

NFBC $1,000 Draft Champions League
$1,000 Per Team, Pays Top 3 Finishers Plus Overall Prizes, including $20,000 Grand Prize
League Prizes Are: $8,000 for 1st, $3,000 for 2nd, $1,000 for 3rd
15 Teams, 50 Rounds, 8 Hours Per Pick

I would like to sign up and make a donation to this league if there are any spots open. Thanks. Do we sign up here or on the sign-up page, wasn't sure?

Did I just sign up for a league in December or February? This thread is confusing, if two leagues move the Max league to a separate thread.

Totally Agree KJ. The 1000 SLOW I have run the past 3 years will start in February and we are keeping a signup list for that I thought. If there are going to be 2 different leagues, thats fine with me, but lets determine that now and keep the signups separate.
