These were done like a normal live draft - in a 3 hour sitting, 60 seconds between picksDeadheadz wrote:The early DC they started at AFL went 23 rounds in about 24 hours if I've got my facts straight.
Do the online DCs start off really fast then slow down signicantly once the talent starts to dry up?

I have been in several of these and find usually 2 picks per day is what I end up expecting. I don't think I have ever picked more than 4 in one day and that happens when drafting near front or back end. There are always people who say "Let's all get together on Saturday or Sunday for a fews hours and bang it out"...never happens. People have other things going on.ToddZ wrote:These were done like a normal live draft - in a 3 hour sitting, 60 seconds between picksDeadheadz wrote:The early DC they started at AFL went 23 rounds in about 24 hours if I've got my facts straight.

to me, the thing that has helped move these from 5 weeks to 3 is the smart phone. Sure...the mouth is also a friendly pain in the ass.

Also, for those new, if you are online and see the astericks name to a team owner, it indicates they are signed in...hit refresh button...when they leave, the astericks doesn’t go away unless you refresh...just saying...each year, people seem to get frustrated when they figure this out.
have fun...and remember, you can do more than one at a time if you wish...get to pick more that way.

Most people will share cell phones and accept texts...you can also email to let people know their turn is up. The site allows you to auto pick one round...this also helps keeps things moving.
look forward to getting started! Good luck all.

Greg - Any update on when the filled DC leagues will kick-off? Thanks.Greg Ambrosius wrote:Remember that this league likely won't start before Tuesday, so look for updated emails on KDS deadline and start times.

KUDOS to all of the NFBC owners in the first two Draft Champions Leagues of the season. Both could finish up today, just 12 days after starting them on Nov. 21st. That's some pretty good drafting everyone, especially with the Placeholders we had to use this early in the season. Fantastic job everyone.
Great, great job. Now let's keep it going through the next four months.

DC1 is done. It was a real pleasure to draft with this set of owners. Everyone was courteous and informative of their availability. The skill level was very high.
