Does this give a clue that Milwaukee will be signing a FA outfielder?

Don't thik so at all. Opening up a spot for Davis and allowing Braun to move over in the OF. Nice little trade by the Royals though.

Hmmm, I wonder if this means they're out on Beltran?
I actually like this trade for the Royals. They get a real leadoff hitter and plug a spot in the outfield. They also have more chips to trade with in Cain, Dyson, Maxwell, and Lough. Although admittedly, they'd get little for the latter duo.

Ryan Braun to RF and Khris Davis now you're new starting left-fielder in Milwaukee. The Brewers like the lefty Will Smith, but I've never seen him pitch. Still, getting a lefty who can throw 91 for someone who isn't a building block for a rebuilding team isn't bad. Makes sense for both teams, I guess.

Hey, don't the Brewers still need a first baseman? Damn, we used to have a good one there. Still need more BrewTown.

But, Milwaukee already has Juan!
Baseball is a slow, boring, complex, cerebral game that doesn't lend itself to histrionics. You 'take in' a baseball game, something odd to say about a football or basketball game, with the clock running and the bodies flying.

It's funny, rumors have been swirling around Morneau till he signed with the Rox and around Loney and his suitors, but hardly anything has been said about Kendrys Morales....

His price tag is too steep for a low end team and any team not picking 1st thru 10th would have to give up a first rounder as compensation.

That's what I heard, anyway.

I agree. I haven't seen any rumors re Kendry but the guy still can hit. Put him in a better park, you could get some decent numbers. No idea if this even is being thought about, but Boston could be a good spot for him if Napoli goes elsewhere. Being a switch-hitter would be a plus and presumably the draft pick the Sox would lose would be at or near the end of the first round and not hurt them as much as it would other teams. With Morneau gone and possibly Loney to follow soon, Sox may be running out of 1B options if, for some reason, they lose Napoli. Still, hard to see Napoli going elsewhere after last year.
