Re: 12 Spots Left For $150 Draft Champions 11
Aaaand, there goes my interest in joining this one. Not going to take a chance to wind up with a draft killer.

Re: 12 Spots Left For $150 Draft Champions 11
I'm trying different strategies in each of my DCs.
First was high SB with heavy pitching depth.
Second was pitching depth with more balanced offense
This one...???
I can understand how you'd shy away from a league where someone hoards SBs or Saves. Makes it hard to compete for overall, right?
It's not my intention to hurt your chances but if that's how it turned out in DC 1, you have to ask why 14 managers let it happen.
Good luck.

Sorry, nothing about you. It's the Anonymous factor--if there is a particularly slow drafter involved (which you were not), I don't want to be a part of it. If I can see the names of all the owners, then I can make the call whether it's "safe" to enter.
My current DC ground to a halt all weekend due to one person.

Re: 12 Spots Left For $150 Draft Champions 11
In DC 6 we have half the league not wanting to draft while at work and many who can't or won't draft between 10pmET and 6amET. So I feel your pain.Raskol wrote:Sorry, nothing about you. Sounds like you'd be happy with the setup we're using for inviting "steady pace" managers to the Dec 26 Draft Champion league. If you like a draft that runs smoothly and steadily, I'd like to add your name to the list.

I guess DC 1 spoiled me. We did the whole 50 rounds in under 2 weeks and nearly everyone said they enjoyed the draft. People aren't saying that about DC 6.

Yes, I would say it did. To me, the most frustrating part of the slow DC drafts is when people aren't courteous and leave everyone hanging. Although your DC 6 isn't going at the speed you would like, it seems like people have been up front in saying they won't (or very possibly can't) draft during work, and you know that 6-10 ET will be the core hours of your draft each night. That's better than sitting in the draft room wondering when certain drafters will show up and make a pick.
Your DC 1 was definitely on the fast end, and not surprising given it was the 1st draft of the year (excluding Dan's drafts) and everyone was ready and available to make a pick throughout each day.

Re: 12 Spots Left For $150 Draft Champions 11
DC 6 is just a fluke bad fit.
As you suggest the core drafting hours of 6-10ET are when most owners are willing and able to make picks. But then we have one or two managers AWOL which stalls the progress.
I'll focus on prep for DC 11 and quit stressing about DC 6.

I might consider this one if I had more cell numbers to draft facilitate.
A lot of unknown's to me in this one, unless someone let's me know otherwise...

I see three names on this list I recognize from DC 1 and Rasmusson from DC 6. He didn't give a cell number but isn't one of the owners who picks casually.Baseball Furies wrote:I might consider this one if I had more cell numbers to draft facilitate.A lot of unknown's to me in this one, unless someone let's me know otherwise...
