Re: Looking For Feedback On Sunday FAAB Deadline
This poll is now closed, but it certainly gives me insights into what a few folks are thinking. Here were the results:
67% - for 10 pm ET FAAB deadline each Sunday
21% - for 8 pm ET FAAB deadline each Sunday
12% - for 9 pm ET FAAB deadline each Sunday
The site will launch tonight with all rules showing an 8 pm ET deadline. I would like to create an NFBC survey with a few other questions soon to gauge the temperature of all our players before making any decision, but I do think a later Sunday FAAB deadline could be helpful to our users. Keep that in mind if signing up for games before we finalize this part of our rules. Thanks all for the feedback. It was very helpful.

Re: Looking For Feedback On Sunday FAAB Deadline
God, I would kill to have the FAAB deadline as late as possible. We have one opportunity to pick up players for the week and we are working with imperfect information at 7:00 PM EST. Later deadline allows more information, allows more time to enjoy your day and dinnertime. And then late at night ya watch the Sunday Night game and dick around with your bids. Hate, hate, hate the 7:00 PM EST deadline, never understood the rationale for that time.
My ideal would be 11:00 PM EST so I don't feel rushed on Sundays but not too late so I'm up all night. Would love to see this adopted in all contests.
And I think this has been asked before, but why the 30 minutes or so of torture before winning bids are released? Why is this?

Re: Looking For Feedback On Sunday FAAB Deadline
Just a heads up that we are sending out a 1-question survey today to all NFBC owners asking for an official response on the FAAB Sunday deadline. The two options are 8 pm ET or 10 pm ET. We'll make a decision on this as soon as we have results compiled next week. We'll give folks 7 days to respond and everyone gets just one vote. Thanks for helping us here folks and I promise to make a quick decision.
Both times have their merits, but we know how time consuming FAAB is to each of you every Sunday and we are trying everything we can to make those nights easier on you. The deadline is the first start and reconstructing the FAAB setup is the second step. Thanks for your help on this first one.

You mean that guy who wants to join 50 Deaft Champions leagues doesn't get 50 votes?Greg Ambrosius wrote:We'll give folks 7 days to respond and everyone gets just one vote.

Re: Looking For Feedback On Sunday FAAB Deadline
Thanks to everyone who responded to our NFBC Survey last week about changing the FAAB deadline on Sundays. We had over 430 responses to our survey and there was an overwhelming choice here:
64% said they wanted the 10 pm ET Sunday FAAB deadline
36% said they wanted the 8 pm ET Sunday FAAB deadline
We will be making this change on the Rules pages of all NFBC contests and will go with a later Sunday FAAB deadline. We think this will help owners on Sundays and along with a total redesign of our FAAB pages will be a contributing factor in saving you folks plenty of time each Sunday during the season. Thanks again all.

Re: Looking For Feedback On Sunday FAAB Deadline
Good Stuff Greg. The survey poll got a great response. Over 430 was a lot more than this informal poll of 53 people. Hope you use the survey polls via email more often on different subjects. In season you would probably get even more responding.
I voted for this change, it frees up my Sunday afternoons out here on the West coast. No more rushing home by 5 now.

Darn, as a West Coast person, was very much hoping this one didn't pass and stayed the same.

I'm with you Oaktown, the masses spoke pretty convincingly though.Oaktown wrote:Darn, as a West Coast person, was very much hoping this one didn't pass and stayed the same.

Money, agreed, can't complain based on that, definitely a negative for me though.
Re: Looking For Feedback On Sunday FAAB Deadline
I appreciate them doing a survey, and you can't be more fair than that. So as always, this game rocks. Personally, though, living in Japan, a later deadline will crush me, since depending on my work schedule, that might mean I'm not available for the last three hours before the FAAB deadline, which obviously wouldn't work. So looks like I'm going to have to cut down on my NFBC play a lot next year, which I really didn't want to. Again, absolutely no complaint, since Greg handled this completely the right way, and it should be what the majority wants. Just sad for me personally....
