young-gun lefties....
Obviously Liriano & Kazmir are 1 and 1-A, but who is the top-dog among the rest of this great crop of youngsters??
A) Chuck James
B) Scott Olsen
C) Tom Gorzelanny
D) Jeremy Sowers
E) Tonto Bojanglez

None of the above. James isn't too bad. Bojanglez--huh? To me Kevin Slowey is the best pitching prospect in baseball (not counting Jered) but he's buried in the Twins system. Have you met God Loves You?

F) Cole Hamels
A few growing pains, today he starts to earn his hefty price-tag...

A) Slowey is a RIGHT-hander, as is Jered. Look at the title of the string
B) Having watched all these guys (thank goodness I got out of the "real job" thing and now just watch ballgames) I know all about Hamels, and trust me, it's no accident that he was left off the list. He's a pretty good "thrower" who looks a bit like "Barry Zito, Jr." but will never be a Pitcher like the others will be for many years, health permitting.

I was just talking about prospects in general. Why focus on lefties? That's completely arbitrary in this situation. Next time we'll focus on blue-eyed prospects.
I can't believe you're ready to pronounce the likes of Sowers, Gorzellanny, and Olsen better than Barry Zito. Let's see if anybody even remembers two out of those three at this time next year.
There is by my research no pitching prospect (or person for that matter) by the name of Tonto Bojanglez. You can google it.

And...when did I say anything about any of these boys being as good as Zito?? Especially the ones you cracked on...Hamels just brings Barry to mind with his appearance, physique, motion, and breaking ball...that's all. And will probably be the most quickly-forgotten of all the names beig tossed around here, too. Watch and see

Hamels just brings Barry to mind with his appearance, physique, motion, and breaking ball...that's all. And will probably be the most quickly-forgotten of all the names beig tossed around here, too. Watch and see Your explanation of why Hamels is not very good is that he looks an awful lot like Cy Young award-winner Barry Zito as opposed to the other, supposedly better pitchers who do not look like Cy Young award-winner Barry Zito. The other guys look like capital 'P' Pitchers rather than like Zito, which is apparently a good thing. If this is not your explanation of why Hamels is not very good then why are you bringing up a totally irrelavent comparable (not that I agree with it anyway) without any other explanation of why he is not good.
Right or Left, what's the difference? There is no pitcher by the name of Bojanglez. And I doubt one even has the ridiculous first name Tonto.

bjoak = sooooo serious!! (and so full of circular logic)
Watch some games instead of just reading box scores...anyone who does will agree that a guy (Hamels) can "remind you of" another guy (Zito) without being anywhere NEAR the same caliber of performer
Oh...and I would presume it's perfectly okay to have a "young lefties" topic, just as it's acceptable for you to start one called "young RHP gunslingers" if you want to
Are you in the "Monday $250" Midseason League?? Check the Draft results if you want the answer to the original question posted here (I was "not allowed" to start a POLL).

But that was your evidence. You didn't bother to say why the other guys were good and only talked about why Hamels was bad *and* compared him to Zito. At this point, I think it is safe to assume that you don't have any evidence at all to show why you don't like Hamels and the Zito thing was merely a way to show off how much you know, which you failed at miserably since you weren't backing up your point with relavent evidence.
I'm amazed that you consistently refuse to offer any evidence to back up your points or offer evidence that your 5th lefty prospect exists.

holy cow...more seriousness (is that a word??)
...anyway, at least I know how to spell relevant
And if you really looked so hard for it, I'm sure you saw in Webster's...
Tonto Bojanglez = noun..."None of the above." As in, "canchatakajoke"
