Forgot to mention this during the AllStar Break, but I have to give props out to David Deterra of the Bluebloods. Check out these 2006 NFBC accomplishments:

* 1st place - New York League 2

* 2nd place overall standings - NFBC main event

* 1st place - Ultimate League 2

In summary, David is in prime position to win :eek: :eek: $145,000 :eek: :eek: this year. Not bad for a guy who brought a paper bag full of apples to the draft :D

I noticed that too Glenn...I remember him walking into the draft and thinking to myself, there's your winner....Nice job thus far David. Same goes for Peden by the way. Do you ever finish out of the money?

Last year he left a memory for me as well. His player rankings on ripped out spiral pieces of paper and in pencil. I don't remember any seeing magazines or anything. And of course he finished in the money.

Rumor is he's a scout in the Cape Cod league. :confused:

And kudos for his performance this year across the board.

nice run yourself KoQ - now #15 overall. Maybe this highly involved race thru september will take its toll on your football dominance :D

Q Thanks for noticing -- great day of offense today (.488!!-3-7-13-1) but bad ERA and ratio should keep me right around the same overall spot.

Would love to finish in the Top 10 to make up for the Ultimate League debacle...

Not bad for a guy who brought a paper bag full of apples to the draft :D Yes, kudos to David, although I think you're doing this KOQ to jinx him!! :D David is good buddies with Eddie Gillis and they have side wagers on all the leagues they are involved in, so David may win even more than you've estimated above! :D Eddie is keeping close tabs on Ab's incredible run.

Eric Peden has fewer distractions since he moved his draft headquarters from Las Vegas to Chicago this year! :D We miss ya in Sin City, Eric, but good run again.

I remember looking at your team a few weeks ago when you had fallen back a little bit and thinking, "We haven't seen the last of this guy." Sure enough, you've rocketed into second place. You and Deterra are both positioned for a nice stretch run. I just hope one of you drops off so I can take second. ;)

The Bluebloods have been on fire since the calendar turned to June. Through May 31st, they were #115 overall (1854.5 points) and 7th in New York 2. Through July 17th, it now reads #2 overall (2639.5) and 1st in New York 2.
