Also a little strange. Minor had something wrong with his tallywacker in January which kept him off his normal offseason routine. Seemingly as a result, he developed some soreness in camp. The reports (which you just do not know how much to trust) is that they are bringing him along ...say it with me now..."slowly". It does not look like he will be ready to start the season on time, but noise has it mid-April. I get nothing more from the Atlanta rags that what has been up on rototimes, etc.

So with Minor delayed, Medlen out, Beachy delayed, Floyd recovering, the Atlanta rotation looks like:

Julio Teheran
Ervin Santana
Dan Kenyon
Alex Wood
Freddy Garcia
Baseball is a slow, boring, complex, cerebral game that doesn't lend itself to histrionics. You 'take in' a baseball game, something odd to say about a football or basketball game, with the clock running and the bodies flying.

That third pitcher could find a way to get Tejada out

You know, I don't think I've ever drafted Gavin Floyd. Deep down, I think it is a name bias.
The only other Gavin I can possibly think of is Gavin McLeod. Even Tejada could hit the Cap'n.
On my tombstone-
Wait! I never had the perfect draft!

Speaking of names, Dough. My doctor's first name is Daniel. His office is on Kenyon Street. So when I need to go in for a checkup, I make an appt to see "Dan on Kenyon" ... never thought of that before. :o

And to top it off, he's a little taller than me - maybe 6'5 - 6'6, probably has 50 lbs on me, is a few years older and he's completely a no-nonsense, no BS guy. :P

Are you serious?
That is some damned wierd voodoo there.
Somehow, we're 'entwined'.

My first little league coach name was Kevin Duke. Mr. Duke, to me.
Never forget him. I was eight or nine years old and gashed my hand climbing a fence on the way to practice.
In my child's eyes, I thought it was a significant cut.
When arriving at practice he told me to grab a bat. I showed him my hand thinking he'd rush to a first aid kit.
It was the first time I heard the phrase, "Rub some dirt on it and grab a bat!"

Now that's a coach! :D

All those movies about an alternate, parallel universe ... not so far off perhaps. 8-)

This season is starting out like so many others have. Thought I made a rock solid pick in Medlen for my auction team.
