Mike, I don't think Jody Ryan has been reading the board lately but I'm as close to positive that I can be that he'll be joining us. Thanks for putting this together and looking forward to a great night. All the best.

Thanks for the heads up, Hal. Will add him to the list. Looking forward to meeting you and hanging out after the events! And it's been a blast setting this up as always. :D

The finals on the three course menu being submitted for all of us tomorrow. It's going to be good, boys! 8-) Now who else is in? And any takers on dessert options which I can have added in? We need at least 24 guaranteed, but at this point, I see no reason that we'll come in short on that number, but let me know anyway. Thanks!

Happy to report that the new plaque for the trophy to be passed along to the defending MTM Invitational champ at Friday night's "coronation" is in the house. Alas, there is good and bad news to share with our defending champ. The good news is that the engraver got his name right (and in all caps) and got the year right too. The bad news is that the engraving was not done in black as requested, and therefore one has to be within inches (well, maybe a few feet) of the trophy in order to read the name on the plaque. Then again, this should not be a practical concern, as I expect our champ will keep this trophy within arms' length at all times during the next 12 months, until he is forced to relinquish it to what will undoubtedly be a new defending champion!

Looking forward to Friday night's festivities...assuming I make it there safely after having to walk the streets of Manhattan in plain sight carrying this famous piece of hardware!

Okay Hal, I will put him down as a tentative. As long as we're close to the minimum (which I think we will be), it'll be no problem adding several people last minute if they would like to join us. Thanks.

WHAT?!!! Have it returned immediately and re-done! Everyone should be able to read my name from at least 100' away. And what about the fluorescent back lighting I asked you to add? What happened to that, Perlmutter? Looking forward to seeing you there as well, my friend. Sure to be a blast. Let me know if anything changes with your availability for the post-draft festivities.

And funny you should mention a "coronation".

 Glenn, I am in fact quite generous as you know, but please do not give everyone the idea that I have the insane type of money that you do.  If you'd like to pick up the tab for this little shindig, please be my guest, otherwise everyone will be obliged this year to dip into their respective wallets a bit. It will be well worth it, although much to your chagrin I'm sure. :P

Hey Bud, I was under no illusions that you were picking up the tab for this feast. I don't know what you've planned for the menu, but I've got to figure that the overall tab for this dinner for 30 at a midtown Manhattan steakhouse would probably be around or greater than the cost for entry into your Super.

The thanks I was awarding you was for the time and effort put in to organize this event for the rest of us. It's appreciated.

Anyone who's lucky enough to have you in one of their leagues appreciates you for that as well. :P
