I would think about trading my well earned Pick 1 for $$$. I would consider offers of at least $2,000 ???

Sorry about the delay everyone. My fault, but it's set up now:

Below is the URL for the Platinum league draft board for the public to access:

Here we go:

NFBC Platinum League:
Saturday, March 29th, 6 pm PT
Bellagio Las Vegas
1. Will Tyrer
2. Nick Cassavetes
3. Donn Johnson
4. James Stanard
5. Peter Berall
6. Ken Norred
7. David DiDonato
8. Derek Pierson
9. Glenn Lowy
10. Jim Ferrari
11. Chad Schroeder
12. Bob Particelli
13. Mike Massotto
14. KJ Duke
15. Glenn Schroter

We had a special drawing with a special showgirl!! It was fun. Will grabbed the 1 spot, Ken Norred was selected second randomly and moved down to 6. Everyone else after that took the highest available pick.

Enjoy. I'm hearing that the promotions all weekend on SiriusXM have been pretty cool. Good stuff.

Excuse me, but my partner, the great Scott Fleming, is conspicuously missing from this list as my partner for this event. He should be down here as he and I will be the ones taking this inaugural title. 8-)

Fascinating and gutsy move passing on the 2 (I.e., Miggy) spot for the 6 spot. Sounds like the Champ has a definite plan. Should be interesting.

Start move by the champ, doesn't want to get caught to far from any run. has a 1st round target that he is sure will be there at 6. going to be very interesting.

Have to say, I was home last night and so I followed along. I enjoyed it and hope the NFBC does a little more of this next year. The one hour "per-draft" show was enjoyable and some of the personalities came through. It would have been interesting if there was a way to prevent the participants from listening to the pre-draft festivities because perhaps then they would have felt more comfortable candidly discussing their strategies and targets going into the draft. It would have been great to compare their plans with the execution, especially considering the somewhat strange draft (e.g., pitching going so strong and so early). In terms of the rest of the radio broadcast, I could have done without it, and eventually just turned it off. The sound problems in the beginning were annoying (did no one test things before going live?) and the spreadsheet was so far ahead of the "live" broadcast that it rendered the radio show superfluous.

In terms of the draft itself, I was surprised how early and quickly pitching went off the board. 13 starters and two relievers in the first 46 picks. Jose Fernandez in Round 1 and many starters in Round 2. It also was neat seeing the different strategies in a standalone league (e.g., six pitchers in first nine rounds versus zero pitchers in the first nine rounds). We'll see how well certain picks and strategies worked, but you have to give these guys credit for putting up a huge chunk of change and then going out and drafting "their" guys.

When they are done recuperating, it would be great if some of the participants could post their thoughts on how the draft went. Well done, fellas. Good luck.

Took a break from preparing income taxes to listen and watch. Thank God for the link to the draftboard because Jeff and Chris weren't really following it pick by pick and they would go off on tangents when I was hoping for commentary on specific picks.

Crazy draft to watch - with $20K of their own money on the line picks were flying without any reference to ADP. Seriously had to question 2 of the teams strategies, but it will be entertaining to keep up with this league throughout the year and watch what happens.

If Mike Massotto doesn't get his own radio show after this someone is missing the boat :D :D :D
Happy Recap

They made a movie and a broadway show about MTM, didn't they? I'm guessing Mike is a guest star in the cast since it's playing in Las Vegas right now.

First of all, thanks to all of the NFBC Platinum participants for joining this very special, unique league. I remember the tension that was in the room for the first NFBC Diamond League 5 years ago, but the tension was even thicker for the first few rounds of this league. It was an amazing league to watch.

Thanks to everyone who participated in the first hour interviews as well. I think we showed the SiriusXM listeners that we have a special breed of players here in the Platinum. They loved the interviews and the personalities that we brought to the pre-draft show. From Mike "The Mouth" to KJ Duke to Nick Cassavetes, they were all great interviews.

And also thanks to the participants for being so patient during the first three hours of the on-air draft. We started 5 minutes late to accommodate SiriusXM. We went slow and announced every pick into a microphone and we had quick eats to keep things moving. You guys are the best.

Then of course after we went off the air, Brady hollered "okay, let's get this f---ing draft moving and proceeded to kick things into high gear!! But what a great group of participants and this should be THE league to watch this season.

SiriusXM was VERY happy with the broadcast and I would suspect that this will be part of their annual baseball coverage. In fact, we're already talking about broadcasting the NFFC Platinum League live on SiriusXM Fantasy Sports Radio. This is really fantastic coverage for our events and for the industry. Now it's time to turn our top players into celebrities.
