Set Lineup For First Games Of The Week

Post by Greg Ambrosius » Mon Apr 07, 2014 9:33 am

Just an FYI that players are locked into your starting lineups 5 minutes before their first scheduled game of the week. This is new for this week. If a player has Monday off, then you don't have to lock him into your starting lineup until Tuesday.

However, this also pertains to players on Monday who may be affected by weather. Those players still lock before their Monday scheduled game. The system is set up that way, so even if a team is rained out on Monday those players are still going to lock on Monday. That has happened today with the Brewers and Phillies. Their players will lock today, even though now their first game is on Tuesday. It was scheduled for today and thus the players lock today.

Keep that in mind going forward when setting your weekly starting lineups. Thanks all and good luck.

Can you fix the "lock time" column on the set lineup page so it doesn't take up 2 lines (stretch it horizontally)?

I can definitely request that.

I like the new lock time column. Would it be possible to have it programed so that it states the time in each of our time zones. For instance all my posts and what I see from others has PDT. This is an option within the message board profile for each player. Possibly you add the time zone preference to our player profiles and have that time come across on our lineup pages.

If this isn't possible than I would ask that you convert all times to PDT. :D

Thanks
Joe

Love the lock time add.
Baseball is a slow, boring, complex, cerebral game that doesn't lend itself to histrionics. You 'take in' a baseball game, something odd to say about a football or basketball game, with the clock running and the bodies flying.

This is fixed now to where it shows on one line.

Yes, this is a nice addition.

The lineup page doesn't fit horizontally on computer screen. You have to scroll to the right to see info at right side of page. There is too much dead space after player's name. Thanks.

Agree, very nice add to lineup page. :) Probably make more sense to the right of the page though with % owned stats.

I agree, it would be better if the locked time is moved to the right, maybe as last column. Alternatively, I wouldn't mind it you gave me the option to delete it. If you can't remove space after player's name, there is too much info on the line. I scrolled back and forth hundreds of times to see percentage owned, etc.

Just an FYI: Once you lock a player into your starting position, you can't move that player to another position. He is locked at that position. Plan accordingly as you set your starting lineups each Monday and Tuesday.

I don't think the time of the game should have a column at all. Instead, just put the time of the game on the first Mon/Tue game that a player first plays.
More simpler.
If that proves too difficult for IT, it should be just listed after each players name/position/on fire...

This said, an 'attaboy' to Greg, Tom, and IT in getting this done.
It seems minor, but it is a huge help in not having to go to other sites to look for game times.

Alternatively, It'd also be nice to have the option to block/delete Deadheadz posts like on facebook.

It's actually pretty easy to do. Simply click on his profile to the right of any post and add as foe. You will no longer see his posts, although you will know when he has posted something, it will simply be out of view.

I took care of that one a while ago.
