I'll say
mean: 400-500
mode: dude i don't know
median: 300-400
maybe one bid in the 800's?
He could put up MVP type numbers.
Was this a good copy here Gekko?

Re: $$$Springer$$$
And if you read the title then the username underneath: Springer now has a pretty good life so.......don't get any ideas that I'm telling him to get one.
Re: $$$Springer$$$
I cant imagine he's available in any NFBC league... possible an OC league, but I doubt it. Would be curious why he would not have been drafted, at least by the 25th round. Maybe I am wrong.
Re: $$$Springer$$$
That's a good point. Can't recall where he went. See, I failed to copy Gekko properly. darnit.BK METS wrote:I cant imagine he's available in any NFBC league... possible an OC league, but I doubt it. Would be curious why he would not have been drafted, at least by the 25th round. Maybe I am wrong.

Re: $$$Springer$$$
I can't see him posting for Niewenhuis, but one never knows. He really hasn't done much of that this year yet, what the hell happened to him? There were plenty of $$$$$speculative closers$$$$$ last week for faab too.KJ Duke wrote:Springer who ???

Re: $$$Springer$$$
Is there a link or a place to view the Platinum League standings or rosters? It's an interesting league to say the least with the dollars at stake?KJ Duke wrote:Springer who ???

From standings on any team page there's a pulldown menu to view any other league.GetALife wrote: Is there a link or a place to view the Platinum League standings or rosters? It's an interesting league to say the least with the dollars at stake?

Thanks; ya know i've never paid attention to that drop down box. Is that new or has it always been there?
Re: $$$Springer$$$
Not sure how completely accurate the % owned is on the team pages, but from both my ME and one of my OC lineup pages where I own him, it says Springer is 97.4% owned, and from my Primetime lineup page it says 95.2% owned. But I also have Jose Abreu in a Primetime, and his % owned has said 95.2% all year. So, I'm not sure how much stock can be taken in the % owned. Not sure why there would be a problem keeping that number accurate.BK METS wrote:I cant imagine he's available in any NFBC league... possible an OC league, but I doubt it. Re: $$$Springer$$$
What gets me is why they just didn't roll with with him from opening day. Calling him up now still gives them control over him through 2020, 7 years, including this year. Teams need to stop playing this game, Fans want to see the best players on their teams. All about money though...

Re: $$$Springer$$$
The difference calling him up on Opening Day and now and is an extra year of team control, which is an enormous benefit if he turns out to be an elite player.Outlaw wrote:What gets me is why they just didn't roll with with him from opening day. My guess is that they are close to an agreement with Springer to buy out his arb years, which makes the Super 2 issue irrelevant.
Seems impossible to me that he is available in any 15 team leagues. He was going 15th to 20th rounds.
Re: $$$Springer$$$
People keep saying this means a contract extension is imminent, but we'll see what happens. They might have alienated him enough that he'll never resign there.
Re: $$$Springer$$$
The culprit is the Players Union. They push to keep this in the agreement.Outlaw wrote:What gets me is why they just didn't roll with with him from opening day. On my tombstone-
Wait! I never had the perfect draft!

The extra year though means 7 vs 8 yrs. This guy will 32 in his year 8. Agree the super 2 was not a factor.. Seems they buried him also probably for an extra year or two, until their overall Team plan got closer..
you might be right they may work out a contract at some point, would be to his benefit to do it too because of his age. Take the money soon....
Re: $$$Springer$$$
There's a not so fine line between rebuilding and outright tanking and Houston crossed it a while back. They're not even maximizing the value of this approach. IMO, they’ve failed to select the best amateur with the number one pick the last two years. There are few people in baseball who would prefer Correa/Appel to Buxton/Bryant.

Springer is already 1-2 with a run scored, luckily I have him in both leagues I have Calhoun.

This is too funny! "Already" 1-2...did you see his hit! A swinging bunt ala Willie Mays Hayes...Steel Lugnuts wrote:Springer is already 1-2 with a run scored, luckily I have him in both leagues I have Calhoun.
Kid will probably be a heck of a player and I'd love to have him, especially with so many injuries...but I don't think I'd start posting his stats 2 AB's into his career, especially after knocking the crap out of that one!
