DL Team - Top This One

Post by Gekko » Mon Apr 14, 2014 7:55 am

Maybe this will make people feel better when they see this one. My partner and I drafted this team earlier this year (believe it was Jan/Feb). It was before any of these guys were hurt

Kershaw
Uehara
Robertson
Fister
Kazmir
T.Walker

Had to cut carlos martinez this week

That hurts Gekko....try this one.....

Clayton Kershaw
Yu Darvish (since returned, but that's the way the season started)
Ryan Zimmerman
Josh Hamilton
Shane Victorino
Mark Teixeira
and waiting on updates for Pedroia, Carl Crawford, & Kazmir.

That team also had Kendry, Springer, & Baez stashed at one time. Obviously, had to make some decisions there as I had to try to field a full team.

I also have another team that had the following fun start to the season.....

Clayton Kershaw
Mat Latos
Taijuan Walker
Josh Johnson
Casey Janssen
Bobby Parnell
Jose Reyes
Michael Bourn
Dustin Pedroia (again waiting on news)

I've already sold this team on the open market for 5 cents on the dollar.

I could go on and on through a few more teams, but I'm starting to get misty eyed and I don't want to be caught openly weeping at the office. :(

Joe Blanton retired. That is it for me, all my Draft Champion leagues are sunk.

One of my DC teams has so many pitchers on the DL that I started both Braves RP Avilan and Carpenter.

Over two innings the pair got me 22.5 ERA 3.0 WHIP 2 K 1W 1S
Kindof thinking I should have taken zeroes instead.

Ironic, you got a win and save tonight from these 2.
Go ahead, make my day...

Perhaps Money was rt about Deadhead being an alias for an already established NFBC vet, but it sure as hell ain't KJ !

Talk about drawing attention to one's self, start a thread when one of these guys is DONE FOR THE SEASON. Otherwise give us a break w/ the whining - every one of these players is due back soon, Kaz will make his next start, so as usual w/ you much ado about nothing.

I'd love it if they all did go down for the yr, but this is just pre-emptive excuse making for your stupid dead/retired guy strategy not working. Great job Karma Police !

Now....back to watching the moon turn RED !

I've easily "topped" this one. Now I can add Nova to team TommyJohn, joining Parker & Corbin. If I had known Ubaldo would sign in the AL East I never pay up for him, w/ the way he's pitching he's probably next  oh, he's pitching tonight in Fenway...Bombs away!

And Alan wonders why I'd consider playing Feldman, they're dropping like fruit-flys over here bro   gotta laugh to keep from crying ! Good thing I didn't try to keep up w/ the Belforts of the world :D

just realized (was NOT my intention) that I took a SP every odd # rd til the legendary Lomo in rd 19

The number after their name is how much real $ they cost to draft.

1 - Stras 39
3 - Teheran 5
5 - Parker 5
7 - Corbin 5
9 - Liriano 60
11 - Nova 5
13 - Ogando 5
15 - Ubaldo 58
17 - Wily 5

And to think one of my best so far was rd 22 - Eovaldi 5, which proves that I should've taken SP EVEN #'d rd's
Always be closing.
