Win A Free Main Event Entry: Friday On Fanduel
The Friday Night Fanduel NFBC contest is now live. First 75 teams to sign up get in:
https://www.fanduel.com/e/Game/MLB_Sala ... 2&p=NFBC14
Cost: $25
Teams: 75 total
Entries: No more than 2 per owner
Prize: Free Entry In 2015 NFBC Main Event (value $1,600), 2nd Place: $100
We are now paying down 2 spots. The contest starts at 7:05 pm ET on Friday. Sign up now to get in. If this goes over well, we'll repeat the format again soon. We kind of like these Friday Night Specials and giving away entries to the Main Event is good for everyone.
It's an easy sell: Turn $25 into $125,000!!! Good luck all and enjoy.

Multi-Entry (2 Max) is pretty clear…you can only have 2 entries.Deadheadz wrote:FYI
Multiple entries are permitted, I see Emory has two.
Not sure if two is max or the 15% we saw mentioned earlier (11 entries?) is the limit.

Re: Win A Free Main Event Entry: Friday On Fanduel
Just entered my first ever daily contest. I think I'm dead money, but I got $50 in Fanduel credit so I figure I might as well piss away half of it in the hope that I get lucky. The draw of a Main Event seat was too much for me, although I have to confess that daily leagues hold little attraction for me. Still, although it feels like a crapshoot, I'm sure I'll be watching my guys tomorrow night. Thanks for running the contest.

How did you score the credit?

Re: Win A Free Main Event Entry: Friday On Fanduel
Before the season started, the NFBC and Fanduel had a joint promotion where if you started an account with Fanduel with $50, you got a $100 credit towards an NFBC contest. It was a no-lose promotion - where else can you get $100 for $50? That $100 was spent long ago on my NFBC "habit" and, frankly, I forgot I had $50 sitting in the bank over at Fanduel until this contest was announced. I think it's a great promotion for both companies and it's great to now have a lottery ticket for a Main Event entry.Roger Dorn wrote:Bronx Yankees wrote:Just entered my first ever daily contest. You don't remember the preseason NFBC/FanDuel promotion?Roger Dorn wrote:

Deposit $50 to FanDuel before the season starts and get $100 off your next NFBC purchase.
Ring any bells?

44 entries and counting, I can see this Fan Duel getting addicting. Especially those 1 day leagues for a buck! Good luck to all in tomorrows lottery! 1 in 75 is not terrible odds!

Locked and loaded. 2 bullets (entries) in the chamber. Looking forward to it. Hope these stiffs I picked hit better than my NFBC teams.

Should be fun. I wonder which one of the top players I just helped buy a ME team.... I guess I will find out tomorrow.

Re: Win A Free Main Event Entry: Friday On Fanduel
We NEVER expected this to sell out so quickly and I apologize to those owners who wanted to get into this contest. I've talked with Fanduel already this morning and we'll add a couple of more spots next Friday night and do this again with the same top prize and a few more secondary prizes. If we have to, we'll add a second contest.Top Dawg wrote:Should be fun. I wonder which one of the top players I just helped buy a ME team.... I guess I will find out tomorrow.

But thanks for the support here and it will be great to start the 2015 NFBC Main Event signup list in April!!

Sorry to be "that guy" but just for argument's sake, is the value actually $1675 since even an online ME has to pay the event fee?Greg Ambrosius wrote:The Friday Night Fanduel NFBC contest is now live. First 75 teams to sign up get in:

Just curious. It's a great prize either way.

It's a free entry and we'll waive any other fees associated with it. Whoever wins is good to go for 2015 NFBC Main Event and if they decide to use this on football we'll make that work, too.Deadheadz wrote:Sorry to be "that guy" but just for argument's sake, is the value actually $1675 since even an online ME has to pay the event fee?Greg Ambrosius wrote:The Friday Night Fanduel NFBC contest is now live. Really? REALLY! Don't give us that crap...you LOVE being "that guy"....Deadheadz wrote:Sorry to be "that guy" but just for argument's sake...

Baseball is a slow, boring, complex, cerebral game that doesn't lend itself to histrionics. You 'take in' a baseball game, something odd to say about a football or basketball game, with the clock running and the bodies flying.

Really looking forward to this.
I'm sure all of you sharks know this, but be careful with players in games that may end up getting rained out.
Good luck!

Sorry, but we'll expand the contest a little bit next Friday to have a little more than 75 entries. And again, if demand continues to be there we'll provide a free entry every Friday going forward. Should be fun.Heisenberg wrote:Can we take a 76th entry? lol I just got the chance to check this out and it is sold out!

Just my opinion... I'd rather play/pay in two different contest of 70 players like you originally proposed than to increase too much beyond that number for one contest.Greg Ambrosius wrote:Sorry, but we'll expand the contest a little bit next Friday to have a little more than 75 entries. +1 Agreed
To me the prize is the Main Event entry. I'd prefer to see fewer entries and one prize rather than more entries and a ME prize and cash prizes. Just set up more 70 team events if the interest exists.
