Probably gone for a lot of $$$ tonight. People might get an early look at their investment in a couple of innings...

I put in moderate bids here and there, but didn't go all in anywhere. Scioscia makes me nervous about investing too much in any potentially temporary Freiri replacement.

He went for $288 in my Primetime league...much more than I bid.
Still no word on my ME league but I bid a lot there because of need.

Joe Smith owners will be disappointed big time. Frieri already threw two clean innings since being demoted and same thing happened to him last year.

I kept hold of Frieri so that's fine.

Supposedly Smith got sick in the bullpen last night while warming up so that is why Scioscia used Frieri

today Smith is on the injury report ....

Either way....

Joe Smith will not be available to pitch Tuesday due to tightness in his right side.
It sounds like a day-to-day issue for but could certainly wind up being worse if the oblique is involved. Smith is back in a setup role for the Angels with Ernesto Frieri regaining his closer job.

Agree. Hopefully Frieri keeps pitching well and limits the HRs.

:?
Did Smith wretch so hard while barfing that he pulled a muscle?

We've been hearing about various players on several teams going down with a 'viral infection' so I had assumed this is what caused the hurler to toss his cookies.

I'm not dropping him anytime soon. He cost me too much to make a panic move.

If Firey gets the job back; you might just have a post like this:
this will test your in season management of your team; since you bid on a player for a large amount and him being removed from important role. Don't whine, just manage. I mean you spent 300+ for a closer and if he doesn't close you will cry. You just need to manage your team better. Don't make this an excuse thread.
LMAO.
