Not sure which is more aggravated, Michael Bourn's hamstring or his fantasy owner in every NFBC league.

2 of those are minor leaguers though. I'm about even with you on the injury front maybe worse.

My injury situation has become hilarious almost. So I lose E. Young Jr. to the bench because Lagares is coming back. Now, a bench guy who is in my lineup because I have so many injuries.....gets hurt in pregame warmups. Geezus, I can't even get backups to play on that Sunday rest day. LMFAO!

I'm not giving up but all these injuries are going to force me to start taking some big time risks that will probably include cutting Gausman and Bradley.
There will be some happy owners in my ME faab next week.
I have insurance on Kipnis so that might heal some of this pain.

I've considered that too, but I'd almost rather start a few DL'ed players and keep them on my roster.

Mariners manager Lloyd McClendon said Monday that Logan Morrison's right hamstring is "not responding."
"I have been [surprised]," McClendon said. "It is what it is. There's no sense in arguing about it. I get him when I get him. Until then, I'll just read his tweets." '
Awesome. Just awesome.
Honesty. So refreshing.

Matt Wieters just had a single but is scheduled to see a doctor for "pain in his arm" which has already been suggested might be a ligament

Yep, he's going to see Dr James Andrews to determine if he may have a torn UCL which could lead to TJ surgery.

Baseball is a slow, boring, complex, cerebral game that doesn't lend itself to histrionics. You 'take in' a baseball game, something odd to say about a football or basketball game, with the clock running and the bodies flying.

Unbelievable - Headed to the DL. Most likely - He Gone... TJ surgery probably, but he still has to make the trip to Andrews...

I'm sure we've all been through this situation too.....
week 1 of injury: there is no timetable for his return
week 2 of injury: manager - i don't see why he won't be back when DL days are done
week 3 of injury: player - i'm getting close
week 4 of injury: manager - i think he might be out a while still
week 5 of injury: player - just taking it day by day
week 6 of injury: manager - i think it's a little more serious (lol really?)
week 7 of injury: player - i really can't give a timetable for this
week 8 of injury: manager - he's getting close

Wieters can still hit. Do they make him a DH or just pull the plug and have him start getting ready for 2015?
If he's not playing a position, his fantasy value might actually increase...maybe.

i don't have wieters- but why can't he just dh. he says this has been bothering him for a while. if they are going to do tommy john- just wait till the season is over or he can't hit. he is hitting better than ever with the injury.

He could (physically) DH - I don't know enough about the injury to know whether hitting without having the surgery would make anything worse. BUT the real question is whether his employer wants to turn him into a DH?
If the Orioles still view him as their catcher for the next x years they would want him to have the surgery and be completely ready by next year. If he doesn't get the surgery done now he wouldn't be able to catch next year either. I don't think they want to turn him into a 27 year old DH

According to Buster Olney on the Baseball Tonight podcast from Wed:
Michael Pineda will be out
another 5 weeks.
That's the first I've heard that time frame. Is he basing this on how long Kershaw was out with a similar injury?

from KFFL re Wieters
"After being examined by Dr. James Andrews Wednesday, May 7, Baltimore Orioles C Matt Wieters (elbow) is not considered a candidate for surgery, according to a source. However, he'll likely be rested more before catching again, but it's believed he could serve as the designated hitter until then."
