Slim Jim's and MD 20/20 all around....
Baseball is a slow, boring, complex, cerebral game that doesn't lend itself to histrionics. You 'take in' a baseball game, something odd to say about a football or basketball game, with the clock running and the bodies flying.

Terrific play for fans.
Rotten for his owners.

from KFFL
"Baltimore Orioles manager Buck Showalter said C Matt Wieters (elbow) will return to the lineup Thursday, May 8, and will be catching in the "near future."
That said they brought up a third catcher today sending J. Weeks back down

Justin Upton hit in the lower back with a pitch. He's listed as day-to-day with a back bruise.
Not expected to play tomorrow but watch for the lineup to be sure Monday.

Please don't panic when you see the name Jose Fernandez in this post.
Jose Fernandez - upset stomach Friday May 9th.

I'm putting it on the thread simply to vent my anger and frustration at players who have a problem and choose to hide it from everyone until after they've played and crapped the bed or show up on the DL. Davide Robertson did this to his owners earlier this year.
Not going to affect weekly Roto lineups but it killed a bunch of DFS teams that night. (yes, mine too)

Sabathia hits the DL too
Aramis Ramirez grabbed his hamstring last night then limped off the field.
McCutcheon out Saturday with "gimpy" ankle...keep an eye on him.
Buxton re-injured his wrist (for you DC leaguers)

Sadly, this may be a blessing to Sabathia owners.

I agree, unless he has a Mussina like revival and learns how to pitch, he is washed up... 4th worst ERA in baseball among Starters... I wonder how many cut him today..

CC has been burned by a .350 BABIP and 23% HR/FB.
Not saying he's still the old CC but he is eons from being washed up. The basal skills are still very strong.

It's debatable.
ALL hitters are hitting over .300 against Sabathia.
I think he is in a transition phase. Before, he had good enough stuff to miss his spots and still get outs.
Reduced velocity means being finer. Sabathia has never HAD to be fine before now.

He's giving up lots of hard contact because he's catching a lot of home plate. He still has control (and reputation), but his command is greatly diminished.

They owe him 71M thru 2016 and as long as no DL with a shoulder injury in 2016 they owe him another 25M for 2017. I've watched almost every game of his the past 3 years and the decline has been precipitous. I doubt the whole knee injury thing too, watching him yesterday it looked like he has an arm problem, he was slingshotting the ball, aiming and using his wrist to generate some speed and control. Bottom line in Fantasy he is useless.

Martin Perez with the Obligatory Sore elbow, no wonder why he has been lit up his past 3 months, He'll miss at least one start, probably visit the Elbow doctor, Andrews and mostly likely he'll land on DL. My guess- He gone...

Edwards Kings learned he did not dodge the bullet on his Auction team. Davis back, but Wieters on the DL. Sombitch...

Cashman says today that Sabathia is to see Dr. Jame Andrews for his knee....lol... Who's kidding who, he has a bad arm.....Cash says CC always sees Andrews for a 2nd opinion on any injury...lol... Sounds like hes out a longer than just 15 days too....
