"Jon Lester is quoted as saying there should be no problem getting ready for his next start, but his manager is not so sure.

Red Sox manager John Farrell expressed concern. "After all, the Blue Jays really knocked his pecker in the dirt...literally. It took both trainers and three from the grounds crew plus a plunger, a cork screw, and some lavender hand lotion we found in Youkilis' old locker to dig that thing out. You though Sanchez's blister looked bad? It could take days before he can even think about wearing a jock! And what is worse, now I think he has a crush on one of the groundsmen that helped."

Just before I left work, I checked on the game and saw he had given up seven earned runs in two innings. At least he pitched four and a third more, but 10 hits, two walks, only three K's...my team ERA was already an embarrassment...this may not be a hole I can dig out of.
Baseball is a slow, boring, complex, cerebral game that doesn't lend itself to histrionics. You 'take in' a baseball game, something odd to say about a football or basketball game, with the clock running and the bodies flying.

Miguel Olivo - C - Dodgers

Dodgers released C Miguel Olivo.
The Dodgers aren't very pleased with Olivo, who took a bite out of teammate Alex Guerrero's ear in a dugout fight Tuesday afternoon at Triple-A Albuquerque. The 35-year-old catcher was batting .368/.407/.605 with four home runs and 20 RBI in 20 games this season at the Triple-A level but may struggle to find a new team. Guerrero needed plastic surgery and could be out for five weeks.

Journeyman scrub jealous of the $28 million prospect and worried about his AAA CS rate. What a pathetic exit.

i was thinking this must be an unprecedented yr for injuries, but just saw this tweet from mlb beat writer -

Feels like MLB suffering more injuries than ever. But here are DL stints thru 5/22 last 4 yrs: '14 (236), '13 (231), '12 (233), '11 (241)
Always be closing.

Verlander might as well be hurt.

Thank you spring training for making me buy into him. I hate adjusting my rankings too much in March but I did just that with verloseander.

It was a cramp in the hamstring area - not as serious as a hamstring pull.

Does misery love company? Since you aren't winning, do you want everyone else's teams to tank it too? Not picking, just a question. (well, not really. I'm in a pissy mood since verlander isn't even one of the top 100 pitchers in the majors right now).

Seriously though, sounds like we're a little too excited about hamstring cramps to a star player.

I was listening to the game when they pulled him and when I posted the message it wasn't known how bad the injury was. Hook told us later it was a just a cramp.

Are we supposed to make a post only when a player officially hits the DL?
Would you rather not know a player might be hurt until after FAAB has run?

To answer your first question:
Make a post whenever you want. You already do. I or others will respond whenever we want.
second question:
Would rather know before faab has run, but I don't use this thread to help me with that. never have in the previous 7 years. I know how to get the info I need. You use this thread to gain injury info before faab? All good. Whatever works for ya.

So you're complaining why?
Are we helping your competitors by bringing up injuries on a public forum?

I guess you can't please everyone all the time.

I'm not complaining. I have no issues with the thread and if I did, yes I'd stop reading. just thought you seemed a little excited about the cabrera injury. Not sure that's the best way to come across regarding injuries.
And if you don't like my posts, follow your own suggestion. Ignore them. :D
