Tommy La Stella
"Braves purchased the contract of 2B Tommy La Stella from Triple-A Gwinnett.
The Braves have gotten next to nothing from the second base position this season, so they've decided to give La Stella a shot. A former eighth-round pick, La Stella boasts an impressive .322/.407/.474 career batting line in the minors and a .293/.384/.359 line at Gwinnett this season. He doesn't hit for power or run much, so the 25-year-old will need to hit for average to have fantasy value. Still, he's worth a shot in deeper leagues. The Braves have yet to announce a corresponding move."
Bye-bye Uggla?

Baseball is a slow, boring, complex, cerebral game that doesn't lend itself to histrionics. You 'take in' a baseball game, something odd to say about a football or basketball game, with the clock running and the bodies flying.

Re: Tommy La Stella
Dan Uggla upon hearing the news of the LaStella promotion contorts his face. He can not hide his anger and shame as he comes closer to the camera.
He shouts out with fury....."LaSTELLLA! LaSTELLLA!"
And cries uncontrollably about what could have been.

On my tombstone-
Wait! I never had the perfect draft!

Maybe. He just screams "utility" to me.

Re: Tommy La Stella
Better than utility IF Wayne - can hit and get on base but not many other fantasy contributions - still much better in the lineup than the constants Ofers and occasional dingers from UgglaEdwards Kings wrote:ToddZ wrote:FINALLY!!!

Agreed on Uggla. Shame too. From what I have read, no one works harder.Captain Hook wrote:Better than utility IF Wayne - can hit and get on base but not many other fantasy contributions - still much better in the lineup than the constants Ofers and occasional dingers from UgglaEdwards Kings wrote:ToddZ wrote:FINALLY!!!

Re: Tommy La Stella
La Stella two singles last night but defense was...shakey...at best. Maybe he hits second in the Braves lineup behind the pitcher?
