Top 30 For NFBC
I'll update this once the season is complete, but here is a look at our Top 30 right now in the overall contest and the number of participants who drafted in each spot:
No. 1: 1
No. 2: 2
No. 3: 1
No. 4: 1
No. 5: 1
No. 6: 1
No. 7: 2
No. 8: 2
No. 9: 2
No. 10: 3
No. 11: 2
No. 12: 2
No. 13: 3
No. 14: 4
No. 15: 3
It's interesting that all 15 spots are represented in the Top 30.
It's interesting that the No. 1 spot was 14.
It's interesting that 10 of the Top 30 drafted 13th, 14th or 15th.
It's interesting that 19 of the Top 30 drafted 9th or lower.
It's interesting that only 4 of the Top 30 drafted 1st, 2nd or 3rd.
I'll list the draft spots of the 22 league champs next week, along with the draft spots of the 66 money finishers. It's always fun to look at this data.
I'm not sure anything can be derived from this data conclusively, but it's interesting nonetheless. 2007 is shaping up as another interesting draft with a lot of speed likely to go in the second round again. It will make for some interesting decisions when you fill out your KDS Preferences. Enjoy the numbers and look for lots of season-ending data next week.

this once again proves it is not the spot you draft in, but how good you draft and pick up players throughout the year

sorry UFS, could not resist. All we have heard all year is how people got screwed with their picks and how unluvky they were. We drafted 11th and were in dead last 2 months into the season and we are battling for the money in the league and a top 50 spot overall

Last year we battled Some Assembly Required and others in LV; good fun, tough year and came in 2nd on the last day (lost by 4 k's), but had a great year ... this year we are battling in what I think is the best league in NFBC (Tampa 2). Not only can 1-4 change today, but we have seen 1st - 4th change almost every week during the year. The overall points are low, but this is because almost every freaking team was drafted pretty well, everyone played the game and everyone knows how to play... Different from last year, anyone of the 3 of us could win of lose by 1 strikeout, 1 rbi, 1 win, 1 hr, .001 batting average, .01 whip and .01 in era ... this has been the toughest dog fight that I have been associated with in my 20 years+ of playing fantasy baseball. It has been a great year in Tampa 2, well ... great as long as SlackerBrothers takes home the title! Next year we will be in Tampa again, please bring on some new blood, so that I dont have to be in a league with these folks again, I would like a better opportunity to win!

Great fight guys and glad to hear that Tampa 2 is so competitive. I see a new name in that league on the top again today, with the first place team yesterday dropping to third. We'll see what tomorrow -- or even Monday -- brings for you guys! Good luck.

I ma really hoping with the day I had today in Tampa 2 that first place will not chance and actually a fighting chance at winning the week and a top 40 finish in the overall. It has been a great season and one hell of a dog fight to the finish
